Only because I like this topic more than "Rank The Winners", since it's less arbitrary, and I change my opinions more often.
1. Pearl Islands 2. Amazon 3. Guatemala 4. Africa 5. Marquesas 6. Vanuatu 7. Palau 8. Outback (post-merge drops it down about 5 places) 9. Exile Island 10. Borneo (didn't watch it until 7 seasons later) 11. Fiji 12. Thailand 13. All-Stars 2,000. Cook Islands 1-3 = awesome, 4-10 = good, 11-2,000 = pretty weak |

1. Outback- Great Winner, Great Location, Great villain
2. Pearl Islands- It had Darrah :love, Funny Winner, Great Villain 3. Marquesas- Rewatched this recently and fell in love with it again. 4. Guatemala- Had awesome moments. Watching Rafe & Stephme let Danni get to the Final 2 was hilarious. 5. Borneo- Original. Very predictable. 6. Vanuatu- Very underrated. The men really sucked but all the women had some great moments. 7. Exile Island- One of the strongest cast. 8. Fiji- Some really great moments. Some really bad moments. 9. Amazon- Very shocking boots each week. But I couldn't find anyone to really root for. 10. Africa- Compared to some of the newer seasons this season is good. Hated the Boron 4 alliance. 11. All Stars- Rob & Amber show Zzzzz 12. Cook Islands- Meh. Other then Yul, Ozzy, Candice & Jonathan everyone else was UTR pretty much. 13. Thailand- Booooring 14. Palau- I really can't stand this season. Overrated to the max. Too predictable. Who didn't have Tom as the winner in Episode 1. |

1. Borneo - Out of Respect, as it was the original & I was a fan since day 1. Also, one of my fave survivors -- RUDY!
2. Australia - Location, boar kill, Skupin flamed, flood, starvation -- those were the days. 3. Cook Islands - Diverse casting & YUL. 4. Exile Island - TERRY! Plus the craziest bunch of survivors ever = hilarity. 5. ASS - Loved it!! Robfather rules!! Too bad the jury was full of whining crybabies who wouldn't give Rob his due. 6. Pearl Islands - Poopert living the theme & the villian you love to hate (Fairplay). Osten the big baby. Worst twist ever, though, bringing the losers back. 7. Africa - Toughest living conditions, coolest location, Ethan "nicest" winner ever and the cool Lex. 8. Palau - 2nd Best Winner, but lackluster season since it was too obvious & one-sided. Good Steph. 9. Guatemala - Greatest/toughest start to a season & beautiful location -- unfortunately Steph & Booby helped ruin it. 10. Fiji - Thought this would be lower. BORING, except for YAU-MAN. Also, some of the most ignorant survivors ever to entertain us -- Rocky, Dreamz, Lisi & Mookie. 11. Vanuatu - Great location -- too many bitter b's w/chips on their shoulders. Chad was cool, though. Ami was robbed, but I guess I have to give some credit to Chris for beating the odds. 12. Marquesas - So many survivors to grate on one's nerves. Kathy & Boston Rob the only highlights. 13. Amazon - Hated it! Wrong winner chosen yet again. Rob C was good comic relief, just too pathetically hormonally charged to win. Also actually enjoyed "mentally-unstable" Matt. 14. Thailand - Just 1 good thing about this season -- Shii Ann. |

Great overall
1. Exile Island (most of the episodes were really entertaining, lots of great characters, the only bad thing about it was the winner, and them telling us who had the HII) Average overall 2. ASS (Seems like a weird spot for this, but it's really close to the next two) 3. Palau (It started off good, but then Ulong losing all the time and no tribe swap really started to hurt it. I ruined the merge for myself by reading spoilers, so I'm trying to rank this where I think I'd put it had I not ruined the merge by reading spoilers) 4. Vanuatu (Started out slow, but then things got better after the swap, they got slow again in the merge, but then at the F7 it was awesome, the last time I've ever been satisified by the winner) Poor overall 5. Guatemala (Started out good, but then the merge was probably the worst I've ever seen. In my opinion the season started to slowly go downhill once Brain was voted off) 6. Cook Islands (A few good episodes, but for much of the season it was boring, and had a horrible and very undeserving winner) Horrible overall 7. Fiji (Very boring overall, most of the episodes that may have been suspenseful the first time around were dreadfully boring when rewatching them) Never seen it before Borneo Australia Africa Marquesas Thailand Amazon Pearl Islands |

1. Borneo - Agree with it being out of respect. A classic season that cannot be replicated.
2. Palau - Unique and fresh for its age. 3. Guatemala - Great cast and a toss up at most tribal councils. 4. Marquesas - First power shift. Kept the likable people. 5. Australia - Something about it is timeless. 6. Amazon - Complete toss ups post-merge and a Laguna Beach-like cast that was entertainingly catty. 7. ASS - Hated it when I first watched it. But the season really ages well and in retrospect Romber completely deserved to win. I don't even want to think about Jenna/Rupert being the F2. 8. Africa - Like ASS, ages well and has an awesome cast. But it's hurt by the success of the bland unlikable characters at the expense of the interesting, charismatic ones. 9. Fiji - Somewhat predictable with nobody to root for, really. But also somehow really decent. Good cast and suprisingly entertaining. 10. Vanuatu - The merge and descent of what could have been a classic catfight is often unbearably depressing to watch. The cast is too big and Chris is straight up unlikable in every respect. 11. Thailand - All the interesting people out early, leaving the old hags and assholes around to succeed, which creates for depressing television. A prevalance of 'Southern values' which creates for a general lack of diversity that catered to Senior Citizens but was lost among the 20 year old viewers. 12. Exile Island - Good cast but Shane's melodrama and palpable acting and Terry's virtually unchallenged and rewarded arrogance made the season unwatchable and awful. 13. Cook Islands - Too big of a cast in a season that really started far too late. Twists were bad, the heroes were bland, and you got the feeling that the majority of them just didn't care. Didn't see PI. |

1. Pearl Islands - Amazing. Entertaining. Strategic. Cutthroat. Memorable. It had everything.
2. Guatemala - For some reason is underrated here - it's definitely the best post ASS season. Really competitive, cutthroat bunch. It also has a very unique, dark vibe post merge. The camp and tribal council sets are stunning. Great season. 3. Vanuatu - Good season. Many memorable characters, and the absolute best female casting the show has ever seen, which is fortunate considering the gender split. Unfortunately, the men were total duds sans Chris Daugherty and Rory. Still, you had many people really playing to win, and some really great moments. 4. Exile Island - Good season, 16 players, great character development. They needed to stay in 4 tribes longer though, but definitely some excellent casting. Best overall casting of the seasons I've seen. The rest of the ASS and on seasons: Shit. |

1. Outback - Still my favourite season, and the only one I have on DVD right now.
2. Pearl Islands - Just an overall good season with great characters and a good winner with personality. 3. Borneo - The original. Of course it will be high up...it had great moments and was what introduced me to the show. Fell in love at first sight. 4. Marquesas - Not the best winner, but a good batch of survivors ready to play the game and it was very entertaining. 5. Africa - Rewatched it lately and I actually really, really enjoyed this season. 6. Guatemala - I thought it was entertaining despite some negative response to it. Steph's return was a bit corny but it made for some great moments. 7. Exile Island - Not the best, definitely not the worst. 8. Amazon - It's not like I didn't like it, but compared to the others... 9. ASS - It probably should be at the bottom of my list, but I didn't mind it. 10. Palau - Predictable...but entertaining. 11. Cook Islands - ...meh. 12. Vanuatu - Ugh. Snore fest. Eliza saved it. :) 13. Fiji - It just didn't bring me in. I missed a few episodes and didn't even care...but I liked the winner. 934. Thailand - Like someone else said, the only good thing to come out of this season was Shii-Ann. |

This was my ratings back in March
Quote: This was my updated list Quote: I enjoy PI more and more everytime I see it. I probably like it better than CI, but I know putting CI at the top of the list will piss off haters like crazy and get them to post their own lists hehe. CI lost a little bit of shine this last time around, but I still get really excited by 4 tribe merge, mutiny, etc. CI is my favorite of all the Pagonging seasons I've seen ASS and Amazon quite a bit, so maybe that's why those seasons have lost a little shine for me over time. Still greats though. BTW, I saw ASS before I ever built up the "stars," that's why I wasn't sickened by the outcome but instead turned into a Romber fan (yeah, that's right--i said it) I think a lot of people are starting to catch on that Guatemala really is a great season. This time around, I appreciated the season a LOT more. It helped to have Amy, Brian, and Rafe blogging and giving insider info. However, I also realized that basically EVERY single player from the season was at least average and playing hard to win. In addition, I realized that the power structure was actually quite chaotic like PI, and it's a really distinct season due to the 2 comeback players and location. Gets my personal MOST IMPROVED award Fiji is obviously really new, but we'll see how I like it after re-watching it a couple times. Despite a lack of players that I identified with and wanted to root for, I found the characters very interesting, and it had several surprises and eventful shows that really made up for the predictable Moto sweep I think I overrated Vanuatu last time. It's still a highly underrated season, but I wasn't as inspired this time around. I think the best parts of the season was Eliza, Leann's boot, and Chris's underdog victory, but it lost a bit of shine this last time around for some reason I realized that I overrated Marquesas last time. Rewatching it, it got kind of boring for me, and I had to force myself to watch it. This time around, I think the Rotu 4 weren't that evil and were villainized by mean editing. Sean and Kathy saved the season for me. I consider it a basic Pagoning season I didn't like Exile Island as much this time around either. I LOVE Casaya being a dysfunctional train wreck. But despite a rather chaotic power-structure, I just didn't really care for most of the players for some reason. Bob Dawg shed some light on the players, so I wasn't loving Cirie or Danielle as much this time around. Aras still came off a bit too uppity for my tastes, but he's a good, smart winner still. Terry came off cocky again, but I liked him more this time around Despite the predictability of Palau, I sort of enjoyed it more this time around surprisingly enough. I don't think people appreciate how competitive (but not necessarily smart) a lot of the players were. It was interesting evaluating Steph this time around knowing what she was like in Guatemala. Coby and redneck James were even funnier than I remember the 1st time around. They saved the season for me As much as I hated a lot of the players in Africa, at least they made me feel something. So despite a horrendous post-merge Pagonging where my favorites (Kelly G) got crushed due to stupidity (mainly Brandon), it was the best of my lowest tier. BTW, I don't dislike the lowest tier seasons, but they're just not liked as much as the others. Tom was awesome, and I appreciated T-Bird (Teresa) as a player. I also liked Silas and Lindsey more than Frank, Linda, and Carl this time I have no idea why people love Outback besides the fact that it was an early season and the 1st of the non-Borneo type Survivors. I had to force myself to watch the episodes and it was really boring and predictable. There was no one fun or crazy. Jerri is the closest one to being a real character. Rodger and Liz were my favorites, but hardcore players they are not. I love Amber cuz of ASS, but she isn't exactly entertaining, besides her, "Oh my God!"--which I appreciate more due to the funniest Survivor moments website. In terms of the suffering, that's 1 of the best parts of the season. However, this time around, I realized that they partly screwed themselves by not rationing their rice! Thailand is a decent season, I just don't relate to the F5 that's all. The Pagonging and lack of gameplay was pretty hard to watch again. Best part of the season was Heidik flicking the camera off "by accident". Didn't remember that! Now I remember why he's always been considered a villain (besides the puppy thing) Borneo is Borneo. I respect it, since it's the 1st. But it was still painful for me to have to re-watch. It's just SO slow, and I'm not feeling the whole experiment and naivety thing. I thought I might appreciate it more this time around, and I did--but it was still kind of uneventful until the last final episodes when it started to resemble a game. Hatch's unexpected victory and Sue's final TC speech saves the season for me |
