How many people have seen each season in its entirety at least twice? I'm trying to put something together in the vein of season ranking that's a little less arbitrary...and more complex than a simple survey.

Opinions about a season are automatically arbitrary and subjective. At least, when you rank winners or players, you can point to their actions

If you're talking about a statistical poll on general Sucks opinion on season popularity though, then that's different

I'd be interested to see what you come up with though. Just to let you know, I've seen every season at least 3-4 times now

There should be two polls anyways.

Rank the seasons by Entertainment Value

And

Rank the seasons for gameplay and strategy.

Of course these two intertwine, as some of us base the entertainment portion of our poinion on how well the strategy was for that season.

I personally can only break it down in general as I am to hardcore into each season individually I cant Rank 1-14
But I can give the Top 4 or 5

Bring it on!

1. Borneo - Best charactes, best stories, consistently entertaining
2. Pearl Islands - Most entertaining season, a little over the top but extremely fun to watch
3. Marquesas - Most dramatic season, great characters and some of the most memorable moments of any season
4. Africa - Best pre-merge ever, post-merge starts off good and slows down but overall it's by far the most underrated season
5. Panama - Has a leg up on the other post-ASS seasons for having 16 players, but it had some fantastic characters although the twists fizzled out
6. Outback - Definitely slows down after Jerri's boot (those last few episodes never seem to end) but there are too many classic moments here to not rank it in the top half
7. Fiji - Most improved season ever, pre-merge was bleh but it really stepped up once Yau-man found the idol, but it has the second worst cast after CI and is the most predictable
8. Palau - Predictable but best winner ever, and a lot of never-before-seen moments, but mostly lame casting
9. All Stars - Love those first five episodes and it has its moments afterwards but it definitely didn't live up to my expectations
10. Amazon - Mostly entertaining but it has the least likable cast ever and the winner is completely out of the blue (at least story-wise)
11. Thailand - Great pre-merge and finale, but a long and boring stretch of episodes in between hurts it a lot
12. Guatemala - Not bad but it dies at the merge when one by one, the only people who refuse to kiss up to Steph get kicked out...has some good characters though
13. Vanuatu - Has some fantastic episodes at the end but they can't completely overwrite the overall lameness of the first 10 (I like eps 2 and 3, and 6 and 8 are decent though)
14. Cook Islands - I can't believe that most fans (not at Sucks) seem to love this one. Worst season ever

I can watch Borneo (or as I rightfully call it, Survivor) a thousand times and it's exciting because it's all about character and each person's personal journey/experience on the island. The questions and ethics at tribal council itself is basically greek tragedy. And sorry, it has friggin Colleen.

Marquesas not all the characters are defined, but the ones that are are even reinforced in the challenges (ROB WASN'T HERE!) and visually the most appealing season (the greens, the blues, the lime greens, purples)

I can barely remember most of the contestants or care about them post ASS.

Yeah, Cook Islands is one of the top three worst season, beside Jonathan and the Mutinee episode, it was pretty boring. And the worst winner ever Yul, I mean the guy had that HII that garantee him a shot for the millon, he doesn't deserved a once of merit.

Cook Islands was overall forgettable IMO also.

I mean I like Johnathon and Ozzy was good at challenges, and candace went to exile like 5 times in a row or something, But that is about it.

It is in the bottom 2 in every list I can think of, except season with most recruits

Fiji holds a soft spot in my heart because it was the first time ever that 3 of my favorites all made it to the finale. In fact the whole boot order was near perfect. All the pre-merge boots I either hated or didn't care about, I hated the horsefucks ft. Stacy and the all got rightfully Pagonged. Just swap Michelle with Dreamz, and it would've been perfect.

Earl did kind ruined it for me by choosing to trust Dreamz over Boo with no logical justification.

I personally have seen each season atleast twice, ANd that is only Cook Islands and Fiji.

The others I have seen atleast 5 times each.

Africa like 20 times, and Australia like 15

I agree to an extent. But editors sort of make us feel that way. They give INV and N edits for everyone who is against the F4 basically, so of course, it seems almost poetic each time someone gets booted. They do this for most seasons. We're made to love those players who get far and hate the "losers"

What do you mean? You mean a non-race-based alliance? I think he's justified, because he won. Dreamz betrayed everyone to help Cassie and to a lesser extent Earl. If you should be annoyed with anyone, it should be Dreamz who threw his game away for that specific alliance (and thus backstabbing his other ones)

I'm still baffled that some people defend Cook Islands.

I keep hearing that CaoBoi and Flicka were entertaining. Sorry, I had no idea looking like a freak = entertainment. Think about it for 2 seconds, have they actually brought anything to the table? No. Have most casual viewers already forgetten about them? Yes.

And let's not even discuss the other pre-merge boots because I don't even remember any of them.

The ONLY bit of drama on CI was the whole Jonathan vs. the Raro kids thing and honestly watching what are supposed to be grown adults bitch and moan for 4 consecutive episodes because someone screwed them over was not so much fun to watch.

And as much as I like Jonathan for rocking the boat, everytime he created waves he was just adding an additional nail to his coffin, to the point were you knew it was pointless to root for him.

Candace, Parvati and Adam were all very unlikable characters. the only people who liked them are fan boys who whack off to any Survivor white chick under 25. Notice those are the same people who say CI was miles better than Fiji......Gee, I wonder why.

And the last straw was the robotic final 4. Two guys with no charisma whatsoever and 2 chicks who accusing them of lacking charisma would be an understatement. The tie breaker challenge clearly proved that neither of them had any business on Survivor.

So please tell me again why that season was good?

Cook Islands is the only season that almost cut me loose of my Survivor addiction.

Hey, I liked Candice and Parvati. Well actually, Candice only became my favourite (with Yul) post-show. I hate Adumb though.

CI was a real bad season. It was a good show, but for survivor, it was really bad at the time. Rewatching it, it's not as bad because I know the contestants from interviews, but it was still a huge dissapointment from the wonderful season that was Exile Island. It made me not really care for the show that much though, and I enjoyed TAR10 sooooo much better. Fiji was miles better than CI, but much like TAR8 being so bad that I had a hard time getting into TAR9, I had a hard time getting back into Fiji.

I dont think you can entirely blame the cast of Cook Islands. Nate was comic relief with all the nonsensical stuff he said ge was a painfully underdevelope charecter .Becky and Jenny could have easily gotten bigger bitch edits . Beckys opening statement speech in the finale was heavily about her social game and all we got was a reaction shot of Jonathan rolling his eyes when she said that either his eye rolling was heavily out of context or Becky was a lot like like a certain Pulau finalist who was catty and cliquish with those she is not alligned with. Also there was huge potential to play up Candices mutiny as a calculated game move that as the game goes on completely backfires instead of making it look like she made the decision on the spot the players spent a lot of time speculating about that possible twist . This season could have been handled much better but instead the editing ignores people who were not villians,comic relief or one of the final 2.
