If you were to stand them one on top of the other (one Verne, one Michael, one Verne, one Michael) how many Verne's and how many Michael's would be needed to reach the Sun?

You would need a large supply of protien, water, trace minerals and such. The clones would need food and water for the duration of the experiment, those in space would need oxygen and environmental protection not to mention the waste disposal issues. This is going to be a HUGE logistical undertaking.
