Posts: 1092 06/05/12 01:13 AM Reply Quote More Recent Posts	Okay so I avoided looking at other topics on this board so I won't get spoiled so PLEASE don't spoil it for me, but I just wanted to comment on the show. So I started watching the show like a month ago, and I started the fourth season just now. I absolutely looooved the first season, I thought the show was so interesting and I thought the show was so amazing. Then the 2nd season came and I loved that season too, Ana-Lucia became one of my favorite characters, but then Michael kills her I was SOO Pissed off and I already didn't like Michael and that just cemented him as my least favorite TV show character ever. Then the third season came and it's my favorite season yet it introduced me to JulietGoddess who is probably my favorite character right now. So as I was watching the season finale of the 3rd season and they were showing Jack flashbacks and the episode was about to end, they show Kate coming out of the car, and I'm like wtf... and Jack is like WE SHOULD'VE STAYED ON THE ISLAND, and I'm like more confused than ever. So then I start watching the first episode of the 4th season and it becomes clear to me that they are showing flashbacks of their lives after they get rescued. So I was like and I turned off that shit after 5 minutes. I was so mad like idk why, but I feel like the show just lost it's entire appeal to me. Did anyone feel like this? So I'm obviously going to keep watching, but I don't feel the same excitement anymore. It's like the whole show is about them wanting to be rescued and were like omg are they going to get rescued, but now they're basically telling us they will get rescued? And their lives are going to be shit. Like what is this. So yeah I just wanted to rant about that. Oh and OMG Charlie died. Sawyer is my favorite character btw after JULIETGODDESS I also really like Kate. So does the show get better, or it going to get even shittier?

Posts: 32394 06/05/12 01:31 AM Reply Quote More Recent Posts	I thought Season 4 was pretty good, way better than season 2 and 3. I liked that they didn't drag the storylines because of the writer's strike. Season 5 is also a top three season for me, so much revelations and the current-day/1970s was a good story-arc. Season 6 was a bit disappointing but it had great episodes like the one with the sinking submarine.

There's no point in stopping completely and saying it sucks because the nature of any television show is that there will be things that will happen that you like or dislike. And once it is all over, you will have the proper perspective to judge it on all the merits. Put it another way. If things always went the way you wanted or expected, it would not make for a very suspensful or exciting watching experience.

You have guessed some get off the island from that, but don't assume they go home, have shitty lives and that's it. There's a lot more...

I started watching season 5 and it also looks really good, I was pleasantly surprised. Why does everyone dislike Kate in here? Is it something she does in Season 6, because for now she has been such a Goddess.

The first 3 seasons it's more about the characters, especially the first season, but once the 3rd season ends you get way more mythology and sci fi than before. It goes from those scary island "natives" to let's time travel and talk to dead people. Nonetheless, it is and will always be the greatest TV show ever ;D. As far as Kate goes, I was never like KATE IS MY FAVORITE. My top 3 are Ben, Juliet, and Jack, really like Miles Daniel and Desmond as well. I do like Kate though, I never disliked her like a lot of people do, and I feel like I appreciated her a lot more rewatching the series.

Posts: 243 06/24/12 11:42 PM Reply Quote More Recent Posts	Miles was a lot better comic relief than Hurley, I never was a big Hurley fan, he added so little to the show for so long and wasn't killed off, but people who were worth something died constantly (Boone, Ana Lucia, Mr Eko etc)

I'm at the end of season 2, somehow I couldn't control myself and jump to the later season just to see when and how this people will be rescue but everything just mess up and I don't understand what the hell is going on, thereafter I decided to went back to where I was and continue watching it. Anna-Lucia die was really jaw-dropped moment, she and Libby are my favorite. Michael is a jackass, seems like filmmakers never want to give a Black characters any better storyline. Is that true they say Libby's back story never revealed and we never know why she been to the same mental hospital where Hurley was at?
