That said, I love The Hungers Games as well. It is okay to like both them. While THG def borrows a lot from BR whether Suzanne wants to admit it or not, the two are totally different in terms of tone, setting and characters.

I didn't know the girl jogging was Gogo Yubari from Kill Bill! Apparently Mitsuko was supposed to play her sister in Kill Bill but got scrapped at the last second. And yes, the LIGHTHOUSE SCENE is fucking amazing. Love that chubby bitch just going psycho!

Battle Royale is obviously darker, but it also has a certain camp value to it that some people may find to be cheesy. I think it's flawless as it is<3

I like that the manga rounded out the characters a bit more and made them more dynamic … but I hate how they made it into an over-the-top Dragonball Z raunchfest.
