What will then happen is that the results will be announced, it will look like 2 people are going home, and then Ryan will reveal that the person with the second lowest number of votes is.. safe. Big surprise, considering the show lost a week when Jermaine was booted. Like the utterly unshocking elimination of Heejun, the actual effect of this red herring will make be to us lose some more of what little respect we might still have for the show.

Really, the judges, with the exception of Simon do not really influence anyone to vote for someone they like or think should win - people vote for who they like and when the pimping and throwing under the bus get going full steam then voters rebel!

It's so painfully obvious that they are going to praise there favorites no matter what and find fault with the others even when they have a great night. Even in saving Jessica they made it very clear that they think she is the best and by God you people better vote for her because we say so. It was a slap in the face to everyone else standing up there but they don't care.

What's shocking is that Ryan has not made any mention of the number of votes cast each week at the top of the results show, like he used to always do to to remind the audience of how popular and relevant the show remains. The voting totals must be abysmally low this year.

You get to a point where its like, wtf? I imagine people start to go, well I enjoy this XYZ person, I like lots of their performances, the judges put them in the semis in the first place, why do they never see what I see in them? It used to only be internet peeps that hated the judges and saw their total BS, now I think a LARGE portion of the watching and voting audience sees right through their crap, especially after last season. If nothing else I think their treatment of Haley really killed their credibility. Even if you don't like her style, I mean them pimping the likes of Scotty and Lauren, trashing her no matter what and then simultaneously going on about how its a singing competition, it just didn't fly. So now they tell you oh America you need to vote for the best singer, how dare you vote out Jessica, how come this didn't apply last season? How come last season you wanted people to vote for the Country twins, and fuck who actually sang the best (Pia, Haley etc). People just don't give two fucks what Randy Jackson, J-Ho and Steven Tyler have to say, they're not Simon and never will be.

I love their constant trap of telling someone their performances are starting to sound the same and they should step out of their comfort zone, and then they do and get blasted for "not knowing the kind of artist they want to be." Randy is just an obnoxious caricature of a human, and his use of hyperbole has gone from ridiculous to plain offensive. "JESSICA SANCHEZ IS THE BEST SINGER IN AMERICA EVER" is the kind of thing fourteen year old twin fans post on each other's Facebook. It's insulting not only to everyone left, but the very notion is just asinine. She's better than Whitney Houston? Aretha Franklin? Etta James? Get fucking real. There's also the weekly song choice arguments - "that wasn't the right song for you" is a valid critique, but they shouldn't be allowed to use it when the producers force a song on a contestant, and they LOVE sticking the non-TCO's with songs with which they can't possibly succeed. Conversely, when one of their favorites chooses a song that doesn't vibe well with their musical pigeonholing, they come out with "that wasn't the best song for you, but you still nailed it." They've been doing this for ages, but since the switch to Steven and Jennifer, it's been blatant - Randy saying at the F4 last season that the winner of round 1 is "everyone but Haley" is unacceptable.

The most recent example of their blatant contradictions, on performance night this week they urged everyone to "vote for their favourites." Then all of the sudden on results night Randy is like "vote for the best" aka their chosen ones. So which is, should people vote for their favourites or should they just lap up whatever bullshit you spew and vote for your prized ponies? Maybe Jessica isn't America's favourite.

Last season they loved everybody EXCEPT Haley, even though she gave most of the season's standout performances and some of the other singers sucked. This year they have again praised bad singers while ignoring good ones, given contradictory advice, and generally been useless. Simon did the same thing in seasons 8 & 9, but at least he'd already shown he could be a good judge. Jennifer & Steven never were any good, so there's no reason to cut them any slack. The judges obviously want to see a Philip/Jessica F2 this year but, as happens more often than not, they are probably not going to get it.

Colton and Phil have some ridiculous number, Elise has the least, more than 10 000 less than Hollie even. Some Filipino group is campaigning for Jessica to win now. Can't remember which state they're based out of but all of the sudden after she's the lowest vote getter they jumped on the bandwagon to get a Filipino American Idol.
