I didn't mention it because we know that Jonas has been using some gear. But there does seem to be a pile of something black in color on the reward table. The girls don't have fishing gear, so if the reward included face mask and fins, and they won, they'd have equipment, too. But maybe the men won a second set of snorkel gear. Posts: 1371 02/25/12 06:55 PM MESS member More Recent Posts	Troyzan is in the slingshot challenge ... and it's not post-swap, and it's not this challenge, so it must be in Ep 4, possibly as the RC. Remember they can do a swap at the IC. The water basketball challenge has everyone in it sighted but Monica and Troyzan and Matt, including Tarzan/Greg. But there is a woman with dark hair (as laid out by Flowerpower at Blows) who is pretty sure to be Monica, and there is a man to the back -- so I think from the count of visible people that challenge needs to be Ep 4, but I'd have to go look again. Anyhow, here is Troyzan at the slingshot. Note that Manono has orange slings and Salani has blue. We know Alicia gets swapped to Manono and will be orange, but here she is shooting for blue team, so this is PRE-SWAP. She also puts together a terrific theory for who is on what swapped tribe: RE: 1 more time...tribes post shuff... Blue/Salani (7 members): Kat, Kim, Sabrina, Monica, Jay, Michael, Troyzan Orange/Manono (8 members): Chelsea, Alicia, Christina, Greg/Tarzan, Leif, Colton, Bill, Jonas As for what could be somewhat in doubt, the ones we have not seen close-up with a post swap buff are Monica and Troyzan for Salini, and I think Bill for Manono, but we know that Bill is playing in the basketball challenge, and he does not look to be in the group of 4 standing by the Salini flag here: Jay, X, Cat, Kim. More likely he is the first Manono to the left. The dark haired woman at left of frame has to be Monica. Therefore the X player in the back by Jay is either Matt or Troyzan. Whoever is not there must be the Ep 3 bootee. Thanks to FloPo and to VolcanicGlass for making this vidcap enlargement of the progression.

Not a relay. And it must be something Leif would be especially bad at, since they're sitting him out here which means he has to compete in the immunity challenge. ETA Or: Is there any way this actually is the start of the slingshot challenge? The target boards are a little curious, because of the orange tile on the corner of the blue board. Is that just a fluke of the dream team run-through, or could there be an element of the challenge where the teams somehow strategically load the boards with tiles. What if the person we see running is the one who is going to determine where the tiles goes, and the folks hanging out will later move into position as shooters? The slingshot apparatus would be quite far from the mats where the players stand.

Alicia is wearing bathing suit for slingshot, so it is likely warm again. The men already have fishing gear, but was there a mask before? Flippers? As in, if we see that stuff in their shelter, will it mean something or be more of the same? I can see how the women want to have fishing gear.

The problem for me being I didn't know if it was new or not, and I had been lazy and not hunted up caps of the gear from the truck. (and still haven't.) I couldn't see the basket in the cap you posted above, but I was looking through the Blows SF vidcaps and saw one that has more of the basket. The reason I posted above is I think that Jonas is grasping the reward basket, and if he is, then the gear hanging there is new ... because their having the basket from the RC = winning reward. But there may be some other basket in the mix, so I offer it for all of your opinions as to whether it is the same.
