Also, Brenchel getting third is great because even though I wanted them to win, getting third means they were never going to; they made too many mistakes. Even with the whole "make your way on foot" mistake, they likely would have lost (but still placed second), and that would have stung a lot more. Or maybe they would have won; we'll find out tomorrow when we see how much time they wasted.

Posts: 256 05/07/12 02:14 AM Reply Quote More Recent Posts	Whew. I was really worried that Davchel wouldn't win after their screw-up, especially since they finished the second to last leg in first. I figured they were the ones that had to have made the mistake. For them to come back and pass up Art/JJ was just awesome! I loved that. I was hoping for a Davchel or the two FBI girls to win from the beginning, so this made me very happy. After the way Art/JJ acted, I was hoping Brenchel finished 2nd. Somehow, despite all of Rachel's crying and complaining, I sort of started liking her. Brendon was a nobody. I can't remember anything he did except complain. Blonde Rachel was just a stud this whole race. She beat the Fitness guys in that hay-stacking thing, and she played great the whole way. 8 first place finishes was fantastic. They deserved the win, absolutely. Great win, great race.

She's ok, but he's a giant turd. Kind of a Flo and Zach redux. Seriously, people after 20 seasons you don't see the "MIXED BAG" as the Winner's Edit? "If we can just get it together, we can win." The THEME of Rachel and Dave's Edit. To me it was SCREAMING a Rachel and Dave win all season. I mean all of you people complaining over the years about a mediocre Edit winning TAR, never having someone to really root for CLEARLY in the Finals winning over and over and not seeing the PATTERN? That THAT was JB's Winners' Edit. The only "Good Guy's winner's edit was Uchena and Joyce. And that was only because CBS called American Airlines, a major sponsor of TAR, to call the plane back to the gate to make the finals competitive and have Romber take a knee, with a major payoff and another season of TAR.

The one thing about Blonde Rachel is that she didn't put up with that crap. She fought back just as much, so it didn't seem like any real abuse, just a fight between them--part of the stress of the race.

Shows how dominant Dave/Rachel were (tho I agree with the posters calling him a dbag). So would Brenchel have won if they didn't mess up?

It probably took quite a while to drive to wherever and back, not to mention by that time Rachel was giving up. It must have taken quite a while to paddle to and from the finish line. I'd say 100% if they didn't make that mistake they would've gotten at least 2nd, and a good shot at winning.
