Well nauge , thanks for that wonderful review of Kimvivor. Your perspective while interesting is quite narrow. While you like to point out that Kim’s selfishness at the reward dosen’t hurt her chances. You failed to point out how it made her alliance dependant on the undependable. Namely, troy only bid $300.00 cause he knew that eliminated nearly everyone from outbidding him. Seems he knew that Christina wouldn’t outbid him.

Second , hanging your hat on Tarzan’s chances of winning a challenge isn’t guaranteed winning strategy.

Also the uncertainty that Troy put in her mind about having found an HII caused her to split the womens vote between Tarzan and Lief. If you noticed the look on Tarzan’s face when he received his first vote, spoke volumes about him finally understanding his place in the alliance.

Finally, you seem to have forgotten ep. 1 and the name conflict between Troyzan and Tarzan. This was shown as the original conflict that is only now coming into focus. Do you suppose that it was foreshadowing the fight to be the last man standing ? Or perhaps showing that the season’s original antagonists must now join forces to overcome?

PS. In Troyzan’s voting confessional, he called Kim the best women, not the best player…

he called her a fantastic player.it's implied that he thinks she's the best player because otherwise he would vote for Sabrina or Chelsea.

My perspective is based on what the editors give us. I don't try to imagine storylines like some. The recap is my favorite tool and they have been mostly about Kim so my analysis focuses on Kim.

Calling Kim selfish is imposing your view on the events. Everything we heard pointed to Kim getting great bargains. Nothing else.

Troy said he was going to bid $500 dollars, nothing else mattered yet he didn't make that bid so his actions contradicted the words we heard. If we hadn't heard Troy's confessional before the auction and I had written that Troy foolishly gave Christina a chance to outbid him then I would be doing something like you; imposing my view on the events. But we did hear Troy saying that he'd be all in for that item.

No one did that until Tarzan wound up in the last leg. If you think that will be a trend you may get a surprise.

I saw Tarzan's expression, it could indeed be trouble but I will analyse the possibility when he talks about his plans.

Again, Troy and Tarzan joining forces is your imagination because nothing suggests such a turn of events. That isn't to say it won't happen but, up to now, we have repeatedly seen Tarzan laughing at Troy. The name conflict seems to have been forgotten by the editors because it never came up when they were together in Manono. I suggest it was just a way to introduce Troyzan's arrogant cry of "this is my island."

The conflicts between Christina and Alicia, Chelsea and Kat, Sabrina and Alicia and even Kat's dream about being killed by Alicia are things you have forgotten, it seems.

Well, I still believe it would be Alicia killing Kat's chances in the FTC. I think Kat would be the Courtney Y of this season ~ but ultimately Alicia grills her.

Going by Colton, Jonas, Mike and Leif's edit it's very possible that he doesn't talk about his plans at all, or only does it in his boot episode like Jay.

...which would make them irrelevant. That's what I am thinking also.

If Tarzan is going to play a role in changing the game I hope they would have given him a confessional that would have set it up even if only vaguely. There is his comment that "the game is afoot" but that is to play with Jeff. They'd give us something to chew on, wouldn't they?
Unless they want us to be Tarzaned! As a viewer, I'd enjoy it but not so much as an analyst.

No, I haven't forgotten. I'm just one of those people who works fulltime and don't have the extra time to write 2,000 word essays.
I had mistakenly thought that this thread was about how the players are edited and how the viewers interpret the edit.
When it comes to forgetting you seem to not recall how you predicted Troy would not win another challenge. You based that on a background Laugh
heard at the IC. Wouldn't you call that injecting your own hopes on the story line??

Editing is all about creating impressions but there is a story being told so we try to see that story, not elaborate our own fanfic. Kim being selfish hasn't been mentioned so I see it as letting your own feelings take over.

I clearly wrote that as a possibility, nothing more. The laugh was there but it wasn't meant to indicate what I thought...at least not immediately. The main impression was that Troy wouldn't win enough of the challenges. Let's see if that holds.

Well, with Troy gone, we could be seeing a rise in someone's airtime because the last real "obstacle" for the women's alliance is gone. I enjoyed the Kat issue they brought up and her storyline has most definitely taken an interesting turn. I really thought Troy was going to be our Fan Favorite/penultimate episode boot but I guess that could potentially be Kat in my eyes.

I thought Kat had a horrible episode. Whiny, idiotic and completely clueless. She has had every chance in the book to make some moves (Jay warned her, Troy warned her) but yet she still does nothing. Ditto Sabrina and Alicia, who are all talk and zero action. IMO, Sabrina is the worst. For someone who thinks of herself as being smart, she has thrown any potential she had for winning this game down the drain.

I think Sabrina and Christina are honestly stupid. They are playing for Kim to win, which is what makes this one of the most boring seasons ever. Kat is just naive. It could just be the editors trying to case a little doubt on Kim, but I hope Kat makes a move.

I also hope they find more excuses to cover Kat in vegetable oil.

why should Sabrina make a move with Troy and make her girls mad? She's always been in the girls alliance and that hasn't changed. From her perspective it's better to get all the men out and be in the finals with with two women. It's Alicia and Christina that are being dumb, neither can win with kim/chel/sab left in the game no matter what they do and they lost any hope of winning by voting out the men.

Christina and Tarzan have completely checked out of the game. Making ANY strategic move with them is foolish because you can't depend on either. They're wasted fodder for anyone.

The only smart and realistic move left would be for Kat, Sabrina, and Alicia to take one of Chelsea or Kim out in the final 5.

The problem with that is Kim's idol. Interesting how they have not even brought that up at all since she found it. Even more interesting that while Kim has talked about being worried that Troy may find an idol, she hasn't even brought up HERS in any of her confessionals.

I do not think it would have been a smart move for Sabrina or Alicia to make a move with Troy still around. Kim and Chelsea were the only chance the women had at defeating him at an IC and they accomplished that. Now, if Sabrina and Alicia do not attempt to make a move here at the F7 then they can be seen as dumb players. They can still make a move at F5 but I think even that could be a stretch because it would mean trying to sway Kat to their side. With Kat wanting to make a move now and using Greg and Christina as throw away votes, the game could be swung very easily to Sabrina and Alicia as long as they realize neither can beat Kim or Chelsea in a F3.

Per inisider scenes everyone trust Kim, wants to go to the end with Kim, and in Kat's case thinks Kim is playing Chelsea. Hand the cheque to Kim and let it be over. After all what Troy did to make Kim such a hugeeee threat everyone still wants to take out Chelsea and Sabrina first instead of Kim, besides Christina and Tarzan who have checked out of the game and would be perfect goats for anyone willing to take control.

Has Kim promised all of these idiots F3, or does her presence around everyone make everyone want to go to the end with her. Sabrina is the only one I would excuse as she considered getting rid of Kim and Chelsea but thinks that will just make her next in line, which is a reasonable assumption, but in order to win one million dollars you got to make a big move. Sabrina seems happy with duking it out.

Chelsea knows about Kim's idol and Kim if smart will eliminate Chelsea at F5 or F4 and vice-versa, but the story we are being told is about Kim so I would assume its Kim who most likely makes this move. Alicia seems happy that she is playing a calmer social game at the moment and thinks Kim is her homeboy, and would most probably be blindsided or taken to the end as a goat. She reasons other people strategy and does not come up with any moves of her own. And Kat is ready to make a big move, getting rid of Sabrina, if she does succeed, I hope Chelsea and Kim are next on her hit list, but she as of episode 11 wants to go to the end with Kim.
