Posts: 13343 04/13/12 10:19 PM Registered user Reply Quote More Recent Posts	Another interesting thing is that everyone usually talks about how the edit has Chelsea and Kim paired together, but actually, Sabrina and Kim are a lot more connected than people have noticed. Colton: Pissed when [men], Kim, and Sabrina weren't on his tribe. "I wanted Kim on my tribe" Kim/Sabrina strategy session on booting Alicia or Christina. Sabrina/Kim talk on being in the final 3 with Chelsea - Chelsea hasn't been confronted about this final 3 at all. If anything, Sabrina and Kim are both connected to the endgame while Chelsea's gotten the shaft on this obviously important scene. This tells us Chelsea's probably along for the ride/the obvious F3 member who gets the shaft in votes. I agree with Rolo about Sabrina generally being shown wanting to make decisions the casual audience probably agrees with, while on the flip-side a lot of Kim's game moves have been things I don't think the casual audience has wanted to see happen. There's if anything a parallel between Sabrina and Kim and I think this points to a showdown between them in votes. It's true that so far we haven't seen a reason why Sabrina would win (other than being generally likable), or why she would even lose, but I think Kim is her doubt - we're seeing that Kim has the game on lockdown and that there's no suspense left. GUESS AGAIN~

After her early comment about Mikayla and her being strong women, her comments were nods, "oh yeah!", insights about someone else, and comments about staying the course. It's also worth noting that Sabrina's, "We women can, ...need to, ...will, ...must...", sort of contains both insight into others and a stay the course plan. It's not a "Sophie edit", but Sophie proved that you don't need a lot of personal development to win. And Sabrina's had a lot more tone and personal development than Sophie ever did.

Jud played a solo game that was mostly about being underestimated and winning challenges, but he still had story ties with other major characters. Sabrina is in the dominant alliance but she isn't connected to that many people other than Kim, she hasn't even been shown as being all that close to Chelsea.

Posts: 2531 04/13/12 10:51 PM Reply Quote More Recent Posts	Final votes... Leif - UTR1 Sabrina - CP2 Kat - MOR2. Slightly complex, but I didn't see her as complex as Sabrina. Christina - UTR1 Kim - CP4 Tarzan - MOR2 Troy - MOR5. He was a bit CP and a bit OTT but not really quite enough of either. Chelsea - CPM3. Clear N SPV from her allies at the beginning, but she got special focus at the challenge that made her positive. Alicia - MOR2. I could see UTR. Jay - CP5. I thought he was positive on my first watch but there wasn't much tone manipulation for him. Winner picks: Top pick - 5 points: Kim. Kim is such a weird edit. No matter what place she gets, she's astoundingly developed as a gamer, moreso than almost any female in this game's history. The reason she's still my top pick is because I can't see her being edited this way if she won. I'd think that they COULD portray her negatively somehow if they wanted to in order to explain her loss. Her game is functionally similar to Rob's game, she's at the center of the action...How would they hide that from the edit and why would they really want to? She has good endgame connections and has some jury connections as well. That all said...If she doesn't get doubt in the next few episodes, she's dropping for me. Looking good - 4 points: Sabrina...I'm still on the fence about her. That double 5 in vis in the first two episodes is strange for anyone, let alone a winner...But my main issue that keeps her from being my top pick is that she had next to no story premerge. She was the leader of the tribe, yes, but almost all of her story was about everyone else. Colton is awesome then a virus! Kat is stupid! Alicia needs to go! Kim is awesome and I'm glad she's on my tribe! Her story was barely there premerge and it hasn't picked up that much since then. I think her edit is solid, but not amazing. Has potential - 3 points: Chelsea. I think Chelsea will definitely be at the FTC, but...will she win? I don't know. It's possible that the jury may award her emotional approach to the game...Yet at the same time I think that she's the stereotypical emotional woman described at the beginning of the game and will be Chase'd. Flawed, but not eliminated yet - 2 points: None. Barely hanging on - 1 point: Troy. I could eliminate him now and not feel too bad about it. I'm keeping him in just to be safe but his edit is veering into fan favorite or possibly doubt for the women. It's still possible but I'm not seeing it. Eliminated - 0 points. Chelsea, Leif, Alicia - Pointless. Tarzan - Crazy. Jay - I'm not too bum-puzzled that he was eliminated here. Kat - Her content post-merge hasn't honestly been that horrible. It's a shame her premerge sucked so badly.

Four of Sophie's votes (Keith, Jim, Dawn, and Whitney) came from people she was NEVER shown conversing with. The other two came from a guy who she'd had no connection with until the finale (Ozzy) and a guy whose connections to her had been almost entirely pre-merge. Strong and obvious connections have clearly been shown as not entirely necessary, especially if the connections to the other finalists are negative ones. It remains to be seen whether Kim's truly are, but if they are, and Chelsea's are, (I have every reason to believe they are) Sabrina is the beneficiary.

The editors can't show everything. We now know the reason the show highlighted the alliance between Troy/Kim/Chel/Jay, because it deteriorated after the merge and probably will play a role of how Chelsea or Kim loses.

They could have just been trying to conceal an inevitable pagonging as well.
