Acknowledging that someone has a specific condition is a better and more educated take than short. But it could be. As I said before, when people describe others, they usually start with the most obvious way to differentiate and move towards more subtle details only if they need them. Age, gender, ethnicity first. Accent, scars, tattoos, prosthetics. Then height, weight, hair color, fitness, eye color, hair length, etc.. Bill, black. Nina, old. Christina, Asian. Alicia, Latino or Hispanic. Leif, little person. Kourtney, tats. Colton, Matt, Monica, then they don't have that easy key word so they have to use more physical details to describe them.

With that in mind and Colton's relative height to Jay, would anyone logically use "short" as an obvious term to describe him? No. Leif on the other hand, yes. Not everyone is going to use the term "Little Person". Little person is the PC term in replace of offensive terms like Dwarf, Midget, Oompa-Loompa; I've never heard of anyone being offended by being called short when they are short. Midget=offensive, Short=not offensive.

Good Lord, that's how YOU would do it, but, of course, you've been watching close-ups for four weeks. If somebody is on a plane looking from behind, or some distance away in a restaurant, he or she might not even be able to see a face that would distinguish "Asian" from "Hispanic" from "White." You're imposing YOUR views and YOUR biases on someone whose position you don't even know. Angles, distances, lighting, etc. all affect the way one sees things, including strangers. Hell, whoever wrote that spoiler could be from another nation and not share your conception of "political correctness." Stop acting like you know all when, in fact, you know as little as anyone else.

When Matt, Jay, Michael and Bill were walking around in the first ep, Bill was the shortest. Also, Bill was only just taller than Probst, who I think is mid 170s. Consider that and if Jay is 6'1, Bill would be about 177-178. Colton seems about that. That is not tall. If he was playing any pro sport, he would be considered tiny. I would consider that short, but I am 193 and I am tiny in my family. Also take into consideration that he did not describe Matt as tall, and Matt was taller than Jay. If Matt is about 188-189 mark, I think most people would describe that as tall, but this guy didn't.

Also, you really cannot look shots of them on a beach/at camp/in the jungle and compare heights because none of those terrains are level ground, especially when there is a lot of sand. The person who saw these folks saw them sitting so that gives a better judgment. I think the only possibility of ruling someone out is Michael, to be honest, since he would be taller than Matt and thus the the most noticeable, in my opinion.
