If he wasn't medevaced, than he would have voted Alicia out and than there would be a merge, with 5 nuManonos and 7 nuSalanis. It was clear in the ALL merge episodes that guys in nuSalani wasn't gonna flip back to Manono and Colton would be not only stuck with his 3 misfits, but Christina would almost 100 % gone to play with girls since Colton was such an ASS to her. Maybe he wouldn't be the first one gone in the merge (due to his idol), but he was sooo hated by almost everyone and he was a dangerous player that he would be gone soon anyway. It all comes down to the terrible social environment that Colton made in the original Manono, that not only destroyed his and his followers' game but the whole men's tribe's game in general.

He still may have been able to bring Jay and Troyzan back to his side. Colton was closest to Jay out there, and had the misfit alliance connection with Troyzan. I'd bet the reason Jay and Troyzan wanted to stick with nuSalani at the merge had something to do with Colton not being there anymore. And even if Christina did flip back to the girls, it'd still be 6 vs 6. The Kim/Colton dynamic would've been interesting since they're the strategic head of the two tribes who both had Idols, yet Colton actually wanted to work with her.
