I think Chris may be one of my favorite final girls. Like you said she didn't take any shit from Jason during her whole chase sequence and fucked him UP. <3333 That morph into a powered goddessa was beyond amazing.

She used her "powers" to do that she never physically attacked him (which earns more brownie points) also when it came time to kill him she summoned her dead dad and didn't even strike the final blow.

# 3 - Ginny - Friday the 13th Part II

I initially never really cared for Ginny and it took a rewatch of the series to make me love her and appreciate what she brought into the series.

Ginny is probably one of the uglier final girls in the series and she's very flat chested. Aside from her physical flaws she's actually an epic goddes that I think sometimes gets overlooked. She's kinda lazy, kinda trashy, and doesn't have much of a morale fiber which makes her a lafftastic final girl.

We first meet Ginny when she shows up late for work driving a piece of shit car. She openly mocks her tardiness and sluts her way into Paul's good graces <3. To add insult to injury when Paul aids her in moving her car she blast him in the face with smoke and takes off without a care in the world. Later on Ginny fucks Paul which in terms of a scary movie should equal death. <3

As the movie progresses Ginny pretty much becomes a lazy whore to boot. She attends a beach party and shows disappointment when told to put Sandra on no desserts. Ginny even parties it up in the local bar and gets a bit toasted off of beers before returning to work and discovering the onslaught which is about to take place. Its at the bar though that Ginny morphs from stupid, self-centered, lazy orgress slut into final girl. She talks about Jason watchign his mother die and how she feels for him (one of her very very few final girl traits).

When Ginny returns to the camp with Paul her final girl Spider sense kicks into overtime as she feels somebody is in the room with them. Sure enough Jason kills Paul which causes Ginny to take off and not look back (usually a final girl would help). Ginny runs to her car (clearly leaving behind) but realizes it won't start and runs to hide somewhere else and for the most part that's all Ginny does is run and hide. She does have one laugh tastic moment where she injures Jason with a Chainsaw then goes WWE on his ass by busting him in the head with a chair.

In the end Ginny uses her brains to kill Jason by dressing up like his mother (just throwing a sweater on was good enough to trick that asshole) and then whacks him in the neck with a machete.

What I do appreciate about Ginny though is she doesn't fit the final girl mold. She's lazy, kinda unattractive, flat chested, not very sympathetic, doesn't try to help anyone, hides throughout the movie, a drunk, and gets fucked. In any modern horror movie or any other movie in the 80's she would have been long dead but it worked for her. What gets her to # 3 is how unsterotypical she is and also the actress that plays her is genius. I think out of all the actors to appear in a F13 she's one of the better acted characters and had a great actress representing her. So despite my previous feelings I definitely have grown to love her now.

Ginny sucked and she was only the final girl because she wasn't even at the camp during the killings.

Sara is so much better than Trish in every possible way. She was supposed to be the final girl too, but they changed it to Trish for some stupid reason.

Did the change it after it was filmed or was it a rewrite kinda thing? If it was a rewrite kinda thing I'm pretty sure that happens often in horror films. Completely refilming it would be pretty unique.
