From EW As we head to the tease for next week, you told me when filming began that there would be no group duels this season, yet by my math we have three dudes hanging out on Redemption Island. What gives? Yes, I did say that and I was trying to find a simple way to say that generally speaking duels will only be one on one. I think there are two times where we have double eliminations and have to have a 3 person duel. But only the winner stays. The two losers are out. My bad. Either Whitney/Dawn will win immunity, the other will be up for debate, Albert will try to make something happen and Coach will cut him loose, or everyone would just vote out Cochran.

Is it (1) Take Cochran to the end or (2) appease Savaii by pausing the Pagonging and booting Cochran? If he appeases Savaii, how does make sure he gets credit for the move? Really, since we learned that Rick promised Coach his word, Coach has 4 votes on lock in C-R-E-B (the same 4 who voted out Mika). Soph-Al need to do something at F9 or otherwise it will be too late. The problem at F8 is C-R-E-B are stupid enough to draw rocks to honor their master Coach so a 4-4 tie isn't gettting you anywhere. Al needs to use Dawn-Whit at the next TC or else it won't work. Soph-Al may still get to the end but it will be on Coach's terms and not theirs.

So they all have to stick together to make that happen. Which means Benjamin and his goats have to have someone around who can prevent whoever returns from RI from winning immunity. Albert and Sophie's problem is that each of their strongest competition is the other. Is either of them willing to backstab the other, and sell that to the rest of the jury as a sole survivor-worthy play? Or do they stick together to wipe out all but the goatiest, and each take their chances with charming the jury?

Coach is a joke at challenges and you have to assume he's self-aware of this fact. He hides it well to others but he sucks so bad at challenges he has to know. He's going to want to keep some combination of Brandon-Sophie-Albert around to ensure they beat the Returnee. I charted out the remaining episodes and you have to think if the Returnee gets by 2 moderately challenging ICs (they will not throw a coconut and spit) in Ep. 14 they're in the finals. Are you still counting Cochran as red? Whit said she forgave him in a secret scene but she also called him a cockroach and a varmint in the same scene I'm not sure the Savaii members would vote for him even if he is the only Red up there. I think Soph-Al are sticking together with each other (unless a betrayal breaks a Final 4 tie). Their story is completely interconnected. Wonder if they think they should boot Coach or take him to the end as a goat - despite the fact that the jury could contain his loyal cult members if it's a Soph-Al-Coach Final 3.

Dawn must be decoy boot #1, since we already saw her in the preview and now Albert's concern is dismissed at "paranoia". So let's say Whitney first boot. Then teehee, Dawn narrowly edges longtime fan Rick on the trivia, and blue tribe turns on him like a pack of hyenas.

Posts: 10641 11/10/11 08:16 PM More Recent Posts	Thanks RnS for fixing that chart! Swap out Ozzy threatens everyone left instead of just Cochran and I agree with you and BL. The release said "bold threat to former tribemates" so I think that's all of them. I would love him to start spouting CI quotes like "Mutineers are first to die Cochtrain!" but SP Ozzy seems more mature and mellow. I think the threat is going to be more along the lines of "I told you all I would beat everyone and win every duel. It's going to get funky for you at your tribals, but then you'll come here and eat your fish, and then I'll send you on your way to the jury. Peace."

Posts: 4370 11/12/11 01:30 AM Registered User More Recent Posts	Albert has to also be aware that if he tries to move against Coach and Coach gets a whiff of a mutiny he'll pull out the HII.... which everyone seems to have forgotten about.. or at least it hasn't entered into their speculation about an attempt to dethrone Coach. With as tight as the U's are, who could Sophie/Albert trust to side with them in an attempted coup? They can't trust any of the U's to not run to Coach with the information especially if they (the rats) see it as a way to move up the U food chain. Pull in Dawn or Whitney? Good luck with that. Whitney or Dawn is a dead woman walking the one vote won't do it. Besides Albert absolutely doesn't trust Dawn who is so busy trying to last one more day in her new family that she would run to Coach immediately. I'm thinking that the Albert turning thing is a red herring... although if Coach gets info and has the wherewith-all to prep his tribe for a possible second boot then I can see Albert going then.
