This is the first season in a while that there isn't really anybody I'm pulling for. Savaii should just make sure Cochran goes next. Imagine Cochran having to be with Keith at RI ! All four of them should approach a Upolu original member and say "If Cochran is booted tonight you'll have our four jury votes for the million dollars and try to get Keith to vote for you as well. If Cochran stays today, our block will vote against you in a block should you make the F3. Upolo would still have a 6-4 advantage if Cochran was booted. The person they approach with this would need to pull one other vote with them, or even get their whole tribe to vote Cochran off. Cochran would be first at Ponderosa, but would be joined every three days by a former Savaii as they're pagonged.

Cochran got the sympathetic music last night and Probst loves him some Coch on Twitter, so yeah, I think the casual audience is supposed to like him. Dawn's getting a positive edit as well but she's a kind, pretty Mormon mom who adopted six kids so she's easy to like. Good thoughts on promising jury votes if you're in the minority. I'm curious what would happen if Savaii started promising Upolo different things at the end regarding jury votes. Albert-Sophie would at least crunch the numbers and think about it. To make things really interesting, I think there would be chaos if some of the goats got targeted OR if Savaii threatened to put 4 jury votes on Brandon or Coach. I think it's pretty obvious Coach is Albert and Sophie's goat. Coach has Brandon and ideally Edna as his. All Ozzy has to do is remind the right person he lost CI b/c Adam and Yul pulled that nonsense with him and it might be enough to shake things up. On another note, no conversations from Edna about being 6th in an alliance of 5? Brandon doesn't know how to lie and he told her exactly where she stands! Do something! Or at least I want to see the confessional from her on the pros and cons of flipping.

I don't think so, not sorry for him because he was bullied. They showed too much of him being unnecesarily kick-me (like not wanting to go in the ocean the first day) and awkward (like the herpes joke), and too much of the other players being kind, if a twinge patronizing. I think we might be supposed to feel for him that he is young and over his head socially, and so maybe not dislike him for being a strategic whack job. But yeah, Dawn and Sophie as mildly positive. Benjamin and Jim not as positive you'd be friends with them, but as maybe you'd grudgingly admit they did deserve to win. Keith, Whitney, Albert, Rick, Ozzy, Edna nice enough but not winners. Brandon cookoo.

I guess I took a turn against Cochran last night, mostly because I understand his motivation, but it seems clear that there is no way he can win this based on what we've been given so far. If you want to make a bold move, don't do it in a way that will not benefit you in the long run. I keep waiting for Mastermind Cochran to emerge and it just is not happening. Some student of the game.

He cost his tribe the challenge prior to the merge , Ozzy saved his ass from going to tribal council so for gratitude , Cockroach turned around and screwed the entire savaii tribe over ? That is supposed to evoke sympathy ? Really ? I thought Cockroach was useless before but now i sincerely hope this idiot gets screwed over by Coach and goes home soon and i hate Coach. If there's a double eviction , i can't see anything but a double savaii elimination.

Just like last season i'm thinking that the tribe who has less numbers after the merge is completely screwed and there is no way of coming back. I loved how for quite a few seasons a couple years ago the tribe who looked defeated at the merge would always come out on top. Eg: Cook islands, Fiji, Gabon, Tocantins, Samoa

Posts: 24078 11/04/11 08:01 AM Kiss me, I'm Adminish More Recent Posts	My feelings on Cochran is that from the get go, he never looked like a winner of this show to me; end gamer? Sure, why not and most likely being one by falling ass backwards into it. He is a contestant the editors would love to pimp so no surprise he is getting a lot of time but I have never felt warm fuzzies for him nor necessarily liked him. Feeling sorry for someone does not necessarily equate liking them. There were some moments of levity with his edit, no question but I never felt a true sympathy for him; it may be because his personality also had some condescension with it; I never truly got sucked into an "underdog" edit with him. There was some arrogance leaking out and frankly I like my arrogance wrapped up in someone who shows they are kind of worthy of arrogance :shrug. He is a big part of this season but most contestants who are thrown in there with pomp and circumstances are the wrapping on the package to make the show entertaining - they ain't winning though IMO and that was glaringly apparent from the beginning. I am trying to think back to contestants who jumped ship like that but we got it and we rooted for them - I don't have that with Cochran and it isn't like I am in love with those people who he abandoned either. I also think they spent a lot of time with Dawn and Cochran about this because we weren't supposed to root for him for doing this. Dawn was supposed to be the audience's moral compass and she pretty much told the audience it wasn't okay to do what he did and this is coming from a person who really likes Cochran and felt badly for him; I think we were supposed to be nodding our heads along to Dawn's narration (at least I did) Anyway this is riddles........... Coach's tribe wants to prove they are loyal to Cochran so we have at least one more episode of investment in their protection of him so I don't think he is leaving just yet. At this point whichever strong guy from Ozzy's tribe doesn't get immunity will probably be in trouble since Coach's tribe has the numbers. Jim could be in danger unless he does a used car salesman talk with Coach maybe. I am banking that Ozzy could win immunity and on paper he is always a good bet for winning immunity depending on what the challenge is. Cochran could try and get back in their good graces by jumping ship again but that still leaves them down one vote and at this point, I think they are ready to bury his body and not even want him back with them. At this point I would think Coach, etc. will try to get rid of Ozzy or Jim and whoever wins immunity would stay and then they would just vote out another one from that tribe which would probably then be Whitney since Cochran will want Dawn to stay and Coach would abide by his request.

The underdog edit somehow didn't sit quite right. Now I mostly can't stand the thought of him because I think he may have handed this one to Coach and of all the people I don't want to win, Coach is right up there. I'm wondering what they mean by "double eviction"? Is it one IC/TC or two? The minute Ozzy doesn't win immunity he's gone, obviously. Their next favorite target would be Jim. If there is one IC, then my guess is Ozzy wins immunity, Jim is toast and probably Whitney. Too much story for Dawn to go just yet. If there are two immunities and Ozzy wins both of them I think the result is the same. I suppose it's marginally possible that Upolu eats one of it's own, but I can't see why they would at this point. Once Ozzy and Jim are gone, they might consider it because the remaining players are less of an immunity threat.

With the double elimination looming, I think we're guaranteed to lose Jim and/or Ozzy. Likely both. Like them or not, those two have been good television this season and I will be bummed to lose them both in one episode. Couldn't we just lose two people who don't matter? Whitney (she must be missing Keith by now anyway) and Rick (since he only just arrived at the ep 8 tribal council) can have my vote.

They had 2 individual immunity challenges and 2 TC since they do not have a redemption island duel yet. Last season - Mike & then David went when Grant and then Andrea won the 2 challenges. It's a shame that Savaii doesn't really have a lot of options left to play , Jim's gameplan got royally screwed over by Cockroach. He's a gambler , he should know that he got dealt a really bad hand now.

If the "double eviction" is really just two TC cycles edited down into one episode, it will seem to us like hardly any time passed, but really the players will have had four days together by the second TC. Plenty of time for Cochran to annoy palely, Edna to annoy giggly, Brandon to cannon loosely, Benjamin to chi. and Sophie/Albert/Rick to wish they had sane allies. (I lost track - who is actually holding the blue tribe immunity idol?)

The only question is do they do it like Ep 9 from last season (two ICs, two TCs, Mike then David went) or Ep11 (1 TC, then 2nd IC at TC - Ralph then Zombie Steve went). I'd rather see more camp/strategy talk so 1 TC is enough for me even if they do a lame challenge right then and there at Tribal. We're right that Ozzy then Jim would be the next logical targets but this is Coach we're dealing with. Coach is terrified of strong women and Cochran will at least get to have voice be heard on who the next boot is. I bet Whitney - "You disgust me Cochran" - is the next to go. Oz probably sleeps all day and then wins immunity twice. Jim will get some bonding scenes with Coach as a decoy but he's prob. gone right after Whitney. LOL at Coach winning! Hell no! He's getting the greatest edit ever by CBS to make him seem normal. I think he has goat written all over him from the moment Albert-Sophie decided to keep him on Day 1. He's eccentric, arrogant and weak in challenges. Perfect to take to the end. Albert-Sophie are the 2 best players out there for making Coach think it's in his best interests to have an end game alliance with him. Coach is too egocentric to realize he's not Redemption Island Boston Rob - he's StephME from Guatemala.

I think a double elimination would only "rock" the tribe if someone unexpected was voted out... ie somehow one of the U's took a hit. That would send everyone scrambling. How is this done with the numbers the way they are? Well one of my thoughts would be that Cockroach flips again and pulls someone with him. It could be Edna who knows she is at the bottom of her tribe, it could be Brandon who could be set off by being told by Cockroach that he [Cockroach] was promosed final four by Allbert/Coach. The other scenerio would be someone suceeding behind the scenes (Cockroach, Jim, Albert/Sophie) to get the U's to split their votes by giving out misinformation. The title "cutthroat" could also mean that Coach is disturbed by something Brandon does/says and decides to try and kick him to the curb now that he has a replacement goat in Cockroach AND he believes he is secure in the numbers. (we have the "kill" confessional from Coach about Brandon)Cockroach tells his new bodyguard Brandon and convinces Brandon that "they" need to take control of their own game and not blindly "follow" Coach. Brandon is pretty impressionable and I do think that Cockroach might be able to convince him to go rogue. Who knows? I just think that we haven't seen the end of the surprises at TC.

Posts: 24078 11/04/11 10:51 AM Kiss me, I'm Adminish More Recent Posts	^^^^ IDK rower, I am thinking cutthroat may just be someone's sentiment over Cochran's move last week and referable to him as opposed to anything that really happens this episode or maybe Coach saying something along those lines but for now I am of the mindset that word belongs to the aftermath of Cochran's betrayal. The rocking of the tribe I think literally is the double elimination as opposed to who is being voted. They aren't expecting a double elimination so news of it rocks their world especially Ozzy's group since they are already down in numbers. Other than the actual double elimination, I think this episode is going to be quite uneventful as to the boots since I can't see anyone else but a former red going; there was nothing even hinting last week that we are going to see some blues join up with reds and IIRC after all these years of watching, we at least get a tiny drop of someone ready to go with another alliance. Coach's crew gave us nothing at all and you can bet they were all asked questions about the merger and if there was anyone they felt they could align with from the other side.
