Posts: 16566 09/22/11 09:59 AM Registered user Reply Quote More Recent Posts	i should have rewound but forgot: who shot daniel? it wasn't nolan, because he was at the party. was it jack? and yes, it was the same dog. the dog recognized her....and jack named his boat "amanda," which is why nolan said he was still carrying a torch for her. and i think the conrad's secretary was lydia, who he is now having an affair with....but that doesn't make sense, because she would have major dirt on them about setting up david and their involvement with terrorists, so she wouldn't have been so easily dismissed from the entirety of the hamptons by victoria. i'm going to be pissed if they cancel this before the season is over and we don't get to see the end. it seems like a one-season show, so they need to do at least that....or put the rest of the season epis on the web when they cancel it.....

I too get the feel of Harper's Island with a sort of Dirty Sexy Money spin on it. Emily does well with this role. Thank God because sometimes I can't be entertained by her in the least. I liked this more than any of the new shows that have premiered so far this week. Which much like yall have already pointed out, spells doom for this show Is Daniel really dead? Kinda sucks if you ask me.. I liked him and I can't really see where he fits in the revenge pic besides sticking it to Queen Victoria. Is everyone in the picture on her "list"? That's a lot of folks.

Wouldn't she have been put in foster care or with relatives? QSF' Most older kids are not placed with Foster Families, there aren't enough of them. BUT, to be locked behind bars, she had to do some kind of crime I would think, even a petty one. It's also possible she had a bad foster family so pulled a theft or something so she would be locked up away from them. I'm in, hope that doesn't mean it is cancelled soon!

Posts: 13575 09/22/11 03:51 PM Registered User Reply Quote More Recent Posts	it looked like crap to me from the pre-show ads - but i happened across it 7 minutes into the start...and i LOVED it. i think i'm fine with leaving the first 7 minutes as an extra unknown for me. the only thing that bothered me was the dog's age fitting into the timeline/amanda's age. the lab's lifespan is 14 years and sam didn't look all that old in present time, and "emily" didn't look all that young. i'll let that go however and just enjoy the show. loved the nolan character; he looks fun (and gay).

And that's some of the highest numbers for a 10 PM ABC timeslot so if it maintains its numbers (especially against CSI and L&O) it'll stay put for a season or two unless ABC is retarded.

I was a little put-off when they in three levels of flashback in the first 15 minutes, but it quickly recovered. It's going to be really interesting to see how her revenge is a dish best tasted cold plans turn into a shooting on the beach, though.

When geeky boy picked her up he confirmed her dads death at that time saying he died six weeks ago (I assume in prison). Apparently she turned into a bad girl after her dad was locked up. So she either lived with family or foster parents before being locked up in a juvenile facility. The thing that bothers me most is that nobody recognized her except geeky guy that saw her at 18. I moved away from my hometown when I was younger for over eight years and moved back after high school and everybody still recognized me. I can understand adults that had little contact with her not recognizing her but a childhood friend would have recognized her immediately. Or, maybe I just have one of those faces.

What I don't get is how the revenge against that blonde woman was enough to get her "crossed off" her list. Maybe I don't have a heart but if a whole group of people betrayed my father and ruined his life and he died because of it and I ended up in jail til I was 18 because of it and I was going to dedicate my life to revenge, I don't think just getting blonde woman expelled from the Hamptons would cut it for me.

I think it's one of those things that you just have to accept, like no one recognizing Clark Kent/Superman. At least she has aged and tried to change her look I loved it, but agree that the revenge on the blonde wasn't enough. But maybe Amanda doesn't really blame her for what happened. She might be just trying to isolate the bitch from best friend and spouse.
