Don't make me try to explain how that explanation makes sense since I use a DVR; just accept it. Anyway....this show is pretty funny! I was cracking up when she threw the plant and ran into the house like a crazy woman. And when she was running out with all those random weird clothes and hats on: "She looks like Helena Bonham Carter!" Zooey definitely is charismatic and i LOVED LOVED LOVED 500 Days Of Summer and I also love Joseph Gordon-Levitt, so by extension she gets a pass. And Schmidt is adorable.

If so, I think it's pretty funny they go to all the trouble to explain switching one black guy for another one just like him throughout the entire episode, yet they just magically are all transported to now live in a smaller town with houses and no one says a word about it.

Yeah, her ex lived in an apartment during the pilot, but I think this has always been set in LA. I might be mistaken. And I don't like the NEW black guy, he totally lacks the synergy and chemistry that the rest of the cast share. I liked Damon Wayans Jr. in this. Casting shouldn't feel like they need to meet a racial quota, if it doesn't fit, it doesn't fit.

Zooey is fantastic in this, and I totally agree that Max steals every scene. The entire scene on the ex's lawn was ah-mah-zing. As for Damon Wayans Jr - he was better, but I'm willing to give Winston a chance if only because it means that Happy Endings is still on the air.
