I also think that Rob vs. Russell could have worked out better if both of the tribes had been more similar in how they handled things. I would have liked it if somehow the Phil/Francesca/Kristina alliance got rid of Rob and then Zapatera followed by booting Russell, OR if Russell and Rob had both made it to the merge and faced-off there. I just would have liked to see more competition because this season was so one-note about everything. Totally agree that the casting sucked. I don't think they felt like they needed a lot of strong personalities or aggressive players because they had Rob & Russell I also agree that Redemption Island was handled terribly, but I don't think it needed to go away post-merge. Personally I just think the idea of telling the cast about it was what killed it for me. Jeff said the Outcast twist didn't work out because the cast didn't know about it, but I think the real reason it didn't work out was because the audience didn't know about. On Survivor Israel I felt like it worked out better as a surprise, because the blindsides still had the same sting and people still gave it their all to not get voted off. So yeah, shitty season, shitty cast, shitty twists, it definitely deserved #22. Spoiler [+] Natalie or Grant

Posts: 2856 06/06/11 07:22 PM Reply Quote More Recent Posts	I thought the cast was good, but it was shafted by editing I do think Redemption Island hurts the game because people are going to be less likely to flip because there's that extra wild card. I also believe that, not it being a R/R season, was the reason the idol was playable at F5, to balance out the returner issue

I think things would've been a little more interesting if Rob and Russell schoolyard picked. Instead, Fran/Kristina (and on paper, Phillip) and Steph/Krista were easy pickings on tribes that they were never going to fit in with. And with all the similar personalities on each tribe like Kitty said, it made everything even more boring (the entire Zapatera 6 alliance was painfully MOR, Rob's Zombies were UTR and Andrea was UTR too when Matt wasn't involved). Spoiler [+] Natalie or Grant. I think Grant may have possibly received the worst male edit of all time.

God DAMMIT. I was in shock when I heard that. That was a total slap in the face to everyone who watches this show. Is there a more stubborn reality show on tv right now?

Even Rob's boot sucked, and there were a lot of uncomfortable moments(i.e. Danielle's boot). Not to mention EVERY SINGLE PERSON'S STORY REVOLVED AROUND RUSSELL. NOT COOL
