"Gossip Girl" will return for its fifth season in the 8 p.m. timeslot while Schwartz's new medical dramedy "Hart of Dixie," which re-teams him with "The O.C." star Rachel Bilson, will air at 9 p.m. "Hart of Dixie" centers on Bilson's character Zoe Hart, a young New York City doctor who inherits a private medical practice in a small Southern town inhabited by quirky yet lovable characters. Think "Gilmore Girls" meets "Everwood" meets "Doc Hollywood." The series also stars "Friday Night Lights" vet Scott Porter, Jaime King and Wilson Bethel. Posts: 3408 05/20/11 06:06 PM Registered user Reply Quote More Recent Posts	Like I said in the Upfronts thread - it's depressing that someone as talented as Rachel Bilson has to be working on the CDub... ...wiith that said though, I did NOT know that Schwartz was the mind behind this when I wrote that and the supporting cast here is actually REALLY strong. Who knew?!? Two FNL alums in Scott Porter and Cress Williams, who hopefully along with Schwartz's writing and Bilson's overall presence can elevate this beyond the CW norm. I'm really hoping so because I can already tell that I'm gonna force myself to watch for at the very least a few weeks.

Rachel Bilson was great in it, and I loved the supporting cast. Especially that guy who was on The Good Wife. And the bitchy girl called Lemon or something was annoyingly entertaining. WATCH IT!

But if people are going to invoke Gilmore Girls AND Everwood I may have to commit to at least a half dozen episodes or more. Would have been nice if they'd gone full ridiculous and named her character Dixie instead of Zoe.

It looks like this got lost in the premiere shuffle. I don't think they gave it the promotional push other shows got. Plus, GG is a dying show so it had a horrible lead in. I'm excited to watch it though.
