I just finished reading the scene where Arya spies of Illyrio and Varys talking in the dungeons. GRR!! There are so many times in the first novel where everything could've turned out differently. If she had just been old enough to understand what they were talking about, or if Eddard had actually listened to her when he tried to tell her.

I think we'll see Cat in King's Landing as soon as next episode, and we'll be in the Vale by EP04 or 05. I think tonight will definitely clinch non-reader viewers because it's going to be a bit more action-oriented and not so much setup.

Because if it isn't I am going to be pissed at Martin. There are so many fucking loose ends that he has to tie up. I think that is one of my big frustrations with the books. There is never an emotional payoff or a sense of a storyline being completed. Everything is always left dangling or instead of a resolution stories just develop new twists and turns.

It's either Ned's sister's kid, or his own through that woman he talked about. I'm thinking it's his sister's kid. Wonder who the daddy is? Oh shit, I just realized that Ned dies. Ned took the blow to his honour to protect Robert's. Robert is convinced Lyanna was kidnapped, raped and killed but there are hints that it may not have been as straightforward as that... Tied to this is the spec that Jon and Dany end up as the king and queen of Westeros, Jon is Ice, Dany is Fire, and only together will they unite the kingdom again. eta: The Crannog lord may have info about Jon, Stannis' red witch also might figure it out when she's looking for someone to burn...
