I'm only 21 now but I loved Dark Shadows growing up..my dad used to play it in front of me. It was one of the reasons I developed a passion for acting growing up. Alexandra Moltke is fantastic.

Love love LOVE the original show. So cheesy, so awesome.

I really WANTED to like the 1991 version, but it just didn't do it for me.

I want to like the new movie, but I'm afraid to get my hopes up.

I loved this show as a kid. I got so mad because my sister had a nightmare about the episode when the guy got walled up and my mother made us stop watching it. Of course, I think we were about 9 or 10 so it's pretty messed up that we watched it at all!

They always had Jonathan Frid in Tiger Beat magazine. Only in the 60's, man.

David Selby as Quentin Collins

I had such a crush on this guy when I was younger. I liked him best when he was finally able to return to a physical form in the 1960s and got to ditch the mutton chops. He recently had a role in The Social Network as an older lawyer for The Winklevi.

Joel Crothers, who played Victoria Winters' boyfriend, was gay and died of AIDS in the 80s

Louis Edmonds (Roger Collins) was also gay.

So many amazing episodes and a slew of absolutely terrible could-only-have-been-shown-in-the-1960s episodes exist.

My favorite storyline was by far Quentin's ghost and the flashback to 1897. Barnabas being captured by the Levithans was pretty much the low point, in my opinion.

Yeah, even more shocking than Johnny Depp. I don't have a problem with either of them, I just wish Tim Burton would expand his horizons a bit. Better than Lisa Marie, I guess.

I actually think HBC is a pretty terrific choice for Dr. Hoffman.

I'm kind of bummed that the movie will cover Victoria Winters and her time at Collinwood (and Barnabas arriving), but I guess that's the best place to start if you're hoping for the possibility of a franchise.

Eva Green will be fantastic as Angelique. View her work on the otherwise wasted new "Camelot" series as proof. She'll have that right mix of evil yet somehow vulnerable beauty that is Angelique.

That '60's show got me hooked for decades on soaps, a habit I didn't break until a few years ago (when message boards took over their place in my life!) I did enjoy the '90's remake too - it got cancelled too soon, before it really had a chance to develop.

This will be one movie I won't wait to see on cable.
