TV By The Numbers is already declaring "Melrose Place" a lost cause, saying that it's certain to be canceled by May (they're apparently going
off the basis of "Privileged" having been canceled last year with higher numbers than MP is pulling in) and any stories we may see in the media about
there being hope for the show is all just PR spin.
This blows, I've actually gotten pretty into this show. I loved being able to watch the remakes of two of my favorite old shows last Tuesday ("V" and "Melrose Place"), but I guess that arrangement isn't meant to last, since "V" goes on hiatus at the end of November and by the time it comes back "Melrose Place" will probably be finishing up for good. |

I'm trying!!! I got nervous when I first looked at the TBTN site, the way they were referring to the show I thought it sounded like there had already been
some announcement that it was officially axed.
I wonder if Amanda is going to play any part in the "Who Killed Sydney?" storyline. The promo they released of Amanda standing in one of the apartments looking around, and they show a shattered picture of Sydney lying on the floor, leads me to believe she will. But I haven't heard anything else about what exactly Amanda will be doing here except for taking over the PR firm where Ella works. Also wondering if we're ever going to see anymore of Jane. Doesn't she still own the building? I was wondering why a few episodes ago when Riley got the phone call about Jonah's rent check bouncing, she said the call was from some management company. Shouldn't it have been Jane calling? (Could've been a nice little non-cameo, just throwing in a line about how Jane had called) |

The numbers will get a bump her first week but then they'll go back down because this show is a festering pile. But they aren't going to cancel it.
They are going to keep it on the air no motter how low the numbers get until next season at the least. The pinned their hopes & dreams on this show and
they aren't going to cancel it and look like idiots. The idiotic things was putting it on in the first place

OMG I was really excited for Lauren + David to become the BEST COUPLE EVER!!!!!!!! (seriously that was an awesome kiss), but then Lauren
choked at the end and turned him down. What the hell. These two need to hook up.

David is growing on me fast and I am actually liking him now, more than any of the other men on this show other than Michael Mancini, of course, who puts all
these boys to shame. I am liking David's attraction to Lauren.
With Augie leaving and that drowned ferret looking bitch Violet, I think the show is going to improve greatly. And with Amanda coming back to provide a formidable adversary for the new queen B, Ella. Now they just need to add a hot gay guy to move into Augie's apartment and a hot straight guy to move into Violet's apartment and this show will really have a chance to pick up in the ratings. And I am not sorry to hear that Jane won't be coming back. I was never a fan of hers. First she was a boring goody-goody and then she was a boring and lame psycho bitch. She just doesn't cut it. |

FIRST LOOK: Heather Locklear's Fierce Return to Melrose PlaceI kinda hate to admit how pumped I am about Amanda's return. I'm willing to bet that clip in the preview from next weeks episode saying "you're fired" is directed at Caleb (since it appears to be from the same scene posted above). I wonder if Victor Webster is out of the show for good or if they'll keep him around in some capacity. |

From today's article at TV By The Numbers on last nights ratings about MP (as I posted above, TBTN has pretty much already written off the show as
dead-in-the-water):
For the CW, 90210 matched its season high for adults 18-49 with a 1.2 rating and had a 2.5 rating for women 18-34. The good news ends there however, as Melrose Place dropped back to a 0.7 rating for adults 18-49 (vs. .8 last week) and a 1.1 rating for women 18-34 vs. 1.4 last week. Next week Heather Locklear joins the sinking ship that is Melrose Place. Good luck with that. |

Those ratings are terrible. Heather certainly has her work cut out for her.

I think Melrose will stick around, its a neat show and ratings take time to improve, STOP BEING IMPATIENT CW!!!!

I think I've lost all hope of Heather saving the show from being canceled, the ratings are just too terrible. Better enjoy the rest of this season while it
lasts.

Augh, why are people watching the crappy 90210 over this?!?!?
|

LPMA |

I watch both (I wouldn't be watching this if there was something else on at the same time though) and I have to say that while 90210 sucked majorly at
first, it's actually gotten in the decent-to-good category.
This, however, is just a lost cause. |

This show is so awful yet addictive at the same time. It's better than Gossip Girl, anyway... I only watch them online though, because I don't have the
patience to sit through commercials for this shit.
