Hi,
A co-worker of mine told me that she knows a couple whose granddaughter is off in Nicaragua filming the show.
She's from Eureka SD, lives on a cattle ranch, in her mid-40's and married to a state legislator. Her daughter was Miss Teen South Dakota.
The name I received is Holly Hoffman.

That's all I got!

PS I'm really sorry for being so dense that I didn't read the rules and just arbitrarily added this information to an existing thread. I'll try to use my brain in the future.

Which is the grandaughter, the rancher or the pageant winner?

The granddaughter is the mother in her 40's, so the great-granddaughter would be the pageant winner.
Granted, I heard this at work from a chic who is always in the Survivor office pool. South Dakota is a pretty small state, where everybody knows everyone else.

We still have not been able to get ahold of Holly Hoffman to ask if she’s been chosen for “Survivor.”

And my good friend, Holly Hoffman, is going to be on the next season of Survivor!

Thanks, Sabina Sperber, and nice digging, smokeitgood. The deleted facebook (the photo's still in Google's cache) is a decent sign she might actually be on, although the swimming coach/ beauty pageant experience (even though indirect) certainly don't hurt.

Looks like her other daughter, Elizabeth Hoffman, was Miss South Dakota Teen USA according to this...

While I know this is super stalkerish, this facebook page appears to have her phone number. If anyone's ballsy enough to call it, the call might go to voicemail with a message like, "I'm on vacation and can't answer."

my parents saw Melinda at a show in Pigeon Forge, TN a couple weeks ago. Said she couldn't sing for shit but brought me back a souvenir card w/ her name on it, lol.

She also lists her email and it's shared with her husband so that's probably her house phone. I wouldn't call or email her. Not gonna get anything out of doing that besides scaring the shit out of her family lol.
