I always thought Family Guy was a mediocre cartoon series until tonight when I saw the previously banned episode "When You Wish Upon A Weinstein." Oh my god, that is one of the funniest cartoons of all time. I read that 40% of the richest americans are jewish even though they're 3% of the population. I'd like to learn how they do that too.

How'd you guys like that bit of the Weinstein episode where they say "Lifetime, Television for idiots." I thought that was pretty funny and radical because it implies women are idiots.

I'm Jewish, and to be honest, I preferred the line from the original teleplay. I totally agree with whoever mentioned that the riskiness of the show is what makes it so appealing to watch, in the first place. Over time, I've obviously learned how to deal with anti-Jewish remarks, and I've learned how to pick them out. I truly wasn't offended by the original line, as it's quite simply a COMEDY show. Nothing more, and nothing less. Anybody who doesn't understand that, must live in a world that has no colour, only black and white. In this sense, it's grey.
I didn't watch it yesterday, and I didn't exactly give this show the appreciation that it deserves, during the original run, but I'll try to, whenever it comes back onto the air for good. I look forward to new episodes. |

The first episode that I ever saw: Stewie is addicted to pancakes, but the police think that he's Meg's child, and that he's actually hooked on crack.

Family Guy is on the Cartoon Network practically every night (not Saturdays). If you go to Cartoon Network - Adult Swim they have a schedule section that's got upcoming shows for approximately two weeks. |
