I've seen each episode so many times that I can tell within two minutes what each episode is, and the one on right now is a great one--Karen takes Kevin along to her little love-in-type area.
Can't wait for the Mr. Collins episodes to air!

I'm guessing that it'll just be me and Ralphie here but now that ION is showing reruns, I had to start up something for this absolutely amazing show.

I'm bummed that I never got to see the series finale. But a friend did describe it to me once and he said he sobbed when he watched it.

I love the one where Kevin hopes his dad will show him some affection only for it to turn at the last second, deflating his expectations. Love that one.

Dan Lauria once sat next to me at an off-Broadway show and his damn cell phone went off. BASTARD!!!

They had the one on Friday night where Becky Slater exacted revenge on Kevin. Becky Slater was such a little hell-fire. I wanted to have half the balls she did as a 13 year old. God I love this show. I love the music they choose too. Ironically, I'm positive that is what is keeping this little gem off DVD. Damn licensing. |

FRIENDS?!?!? I'll give you FRIENDS!!!
The single greatest line in television history. I hope one day they'll do a 90s version, maybe Kevin's son. |

Yeah I'm sure it's the music too Ralphie. WKRP is coming out but the music is all but stripped and replaced with generic stuff. Hardocre fans are none too happy. I'd get it regardless. Not the same but better than nothing.
Of course the ACTUAL greatest show ever "Freaks & Geeks" was released with all the music intact. Who knows? |

<3 Awesome guide to all the classic songs in the eps.
I will forever associate the dance where Kevin and Winnie do not attend together, but are wandering the gym apart by eppy's end with the song 'Crimson and Clover' Wonder Years Music |

Yep. Juliette Lewis played Wayne's dimwitted girlfriend Delores (a match made in heaven, IMO!) And when the time comes, David Schwimmer plays Karen's hippy husband.
Lots of "wow, isn't that..." moments on this show. <3 And FYI, these eps are going in order. First Mr. Collins sighting towards the end of this week, Beatles, our ep sometime during the last week of April/first week of May. |

Danica McKellar = the Maureen McCormack of the late 80s/early 90s. Man, I love Winnie Cooper. I couldn't believe Kevin almost gave her up for that bitch in his French class.
I'd sacrifice some of the music for otherwise uncut eps on DVD. The first season's only six episodes so they could start out with a cheaper release if they want to test the market. One of the best moments ever is when Kevin loses the class election to Becky Slater in a landslide and then it pans down to the results and shows "Donald Duck: 2." Another good one was with the French class bitch (Madeline?), Kevin lost a charm bracelet Winnie gave him when he was baking with Madeline and bought a new one, but when he went to get it, the jeweler couldn't read his handwriting so it said "Kevin Amold." And then Madeline subtly gave it back to him by pretending he'd dropped it on the floor when he was at a movie with Winnie. |

A true TV classic. The sad part about the finale is that the cast didn't know it was the finale. The voice over was added later. It doesn't make it any less bittersweet, but kinda sucked for the cast.
This is one of those "defines a generation" show. When Kevin kisses Winnie when Winnie's brother is killed in Viet Nam...oh God, so familiar. A truly unforgettable show. |

It's never going to be on dvds. Too many expensive copy righted songs in per episode. I am doing my own recording it to dvds.
