On October 24, 2006, we get our first look at the web-trailer for season 6 at fox.com! Here's the website description: *Quote:* Be the first to see scenes from the upcoming episode. You're gonna need a hacksaw to pull yourself away from the screen! Another 2 day, 4 hour premiere which is good. :) Sunday, January 14 (8/7c) and Monday, January 15 (8/7c) Can't wait!

Start with back-to-back 2 hour episodes to get people hooked, then air new episodes every week with no reruns, leading up to the big finale in May.

Ratings were low for the first couple of seasons when they had reruns in between new episodes. Then they switched to the new scheduling format and the ratings took off.

I'm one of the few that got hooked mid-season. So yea I was slightly confused with season 2 but it was good enough where it got me hooked. Still need to go back and watch that season.

For it to work, the terrorists have to win once in a while, but that will never happen because of the current states of things in the US. As it is now, you know Bauer and his entourage will always triumph. That makes it very, very boring.

Knowing he'll prevail is sometimes the only thing that gets me through some of these episodes. Like being on a nasty-ass roller coaster -- you know you'll survive. You're just not sure how sometimes since you'll be flipped upside down and sideways a lot. But you climb on for the excitement. That's 24 in a nutshell for me. Knowing that no OTHER member is safe from death (well I do think Chloe is becoming as invincible as Jack in her own way) is what also keeps the show exciting and keeps me hooked. That and the fact that I'd totally do Keifer.

Most spectacularly of course would be the building of people they infected with the super virus, the crashing of Air Force One and the assassination of an ex-President. They're just not going to win in late May. Then it's either Jack or the Chinese black ops squad. But definitely not the terrorists. Or Chase's hand. Jean Smart and Gregory Itzin (sp?) will be back.

I was looking around for something to watch and randomly turned on 24 on WGN or whatever channel has it on at 11 PM. The awesome thing was that I switched it on just as Henderson was walking into his house and Jack was hacking his computer. I told my friends that they had to watch the rest. Everyone loved Jack shooting Henderson's wife in the leg (one of my favorite 24 moments ever) and I think they may be watching to new season! I'm so excited.
