What's sad is that Glenn Fitzgerald (Brian Darling) is a really good actor and gives it his all in his performance. He's the only Darling that seems
remotely human. If the writing was any good, he would be getting Emmy nominations. In the midst of this ridiculous episode, I actually almost teared up when he
was talking to himself in the church.

I agree. He makes what should be a cartoonish selfish prick sympathetic and human. Blair Underwood fails horribly.

Glenn Fitzgerald makes this show for me. I'll miss it.

Well hopefully he'll get something better than this dreck. And count me as another Carmelita vote. Why should the show step away from the expected now?

Because, because...Carmelita is the only nice character. I don't want her to die. Kill Simon instead. That would be predictable and improve the show.

It doesn't matter. Kill of Carmelita. The show's over anyway. Might as well have her character go out on a heroic note. Candis Cayne can get other
work.

The whole reason I've kept watching during this miserable season is to find out who killed Dutch... only to find out he's not dead??? I am NOT a fan.... |

Really? A month later. Really? Really?
Patrick has his hand on the tubing & doesn't unplug it at the last minute. Really? Dude dies in his sleep anyway. Really? Brian turns into a preacher bitch & pushes ex-cancer girl away. Really? Tripp's hair is looking more & more like he had a Toni home perm. Really. I wanna scream. |

Fluffynurse wrote: Yup, screams here from my DVR, too. People act randomly for no apparent reason -- this is Desperate Housewives season 2 all over again. Still, I betcha Tripp took care of Chase. And I liked that Jeremey was feigning reasons for his amnesia -- for once we don't get another dumbass amnesia plot, and instead have DSM engaging it and turning it on its head. Dutch being alive seriously pisses me awf. |

Carmelita dead? Dutch alive?
I've officially taken this show off my DVR. Thank god it's almost dead anyway. Apparently Candis Cayne performs every Monday night at the Abbey in LA if anybody's interested in knowing what a real STAR looks like. |

Carmelita died on one of the CSI's last night too. That's gotta suck, 2 dead characters in the same week.

Last year when I would tell people to watch this show they would ask me what was so good about it and I would just tell them that it was fun to watch. There
has not been a single episode this season that was fun to watch

Simon Elder really kills it for me.
The only reason I had been watching was to find out who killed Dutch, and now that Dutch is alive |

I miss all the lavish frivolity from the first season. Birthday parties on the Brooklyn Bridge, lions in the family photo shoot, individual ring tones to the
lawyer from each family member. But yeah, Simon Elder killed it. They didn't need a villain. The family was plenty capable on their own of causing
enough drama.

Fluffynurse wrote: The ringtones was one of the high points of the series, that's for sure. I miss last season so much. I was upset this was getting cancelled, but I could care less anymore. I mean, I guess it made sense for Carmelita to die but... they could have at least made it a little more shocking. And I don't get Tripp's sudden love and sympathy for Carmelita either. Another thing that pisses me off (other than Simon Elder of course, does anyone like him?) is the fact that Brian's marriage is like a fastforward. He went from hating his wife to loving her to marrying her to having her almost die from cancer to being miraculously healed to wanted to divorce her out of nowhere to loving her again? In a matter of what, three episodes? Really? That's either laziness or shitty writing. I also just want Karen and Nick to hook up already. I'm guessing in the finale Nick and Lisa will get back together, but dammit Nick and Karen are
great together. If I was Nick, I'd be all over that. Karen is amazing in practically every way. Although I miss her one liners from season one. |
