All i caught was he does humanitarian missions in Kenya right. and the only one that didn't make any sense in the ep. the flower-child mom. the capitalist dad. the hippie daughter. boring, boring, boring... nothing, nothing, nothing... now... this gentleman named "marble"??? in my convoluted mind... he was the only person of interest this week... last week it was clear. this week? hummm... |

1) Journeyman delivered flower-child mom's baby on the plane so hippie daughter could be born
2) After the mom dies, Journeyman facilitates meeting between hippie daughter and jerkass (but fuckable) dad she never knew but dad rejects her 3) A year later, Journeyman meets up with Jerkass dad on plane and finds he has Leukemia 4) Journeyman goes to now-punk-druggie daughter who reluctantly agrees to meet with him 5) Punk daughter, taking after her good-hearted mother, decides to test to see if she's a bone-marrow match for her Jerkass dad even though he doesn't deserve it, and Billy Marble eavesdrops on conversation 6) Journeyman pulls Marble aside to have coffee and let dad/daughter have their moment, and finds out that Marble dreams of flying planes and shit Fast Forward to present: -Journeyman googles Jerkass dad, no result -Meets up with now cleaned up professional daughter who seems to have "taken after her mother" -Turns out she wasn't a match for her dad and he died a year later -TWIST: Billy Marble had cancer too and the daughter was a bone-marrow match for him. By saving Marble, he was able to realize his dreams of flying and now does foreign aid and humanitarian missions overseas in Kenya. But the most important part of the episode was when Moon Bloodgod was aching to have passionate fuck sex with Kevin McKidd on the plane. |

Important Question-- I've been trying to figure out the artist and name of a song for so long! And sure enough, it just popped at the end of the last
episode of Journey Man. It opens with some distinct whistling. Er... Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

I couldn't find anything major to nitpick this week. So far they're doing a good job of avoiding anachronisms and breaking the time-travel rules
they've set up. Of course, ratings permitting, there's a long way yet to go.
- during the 80s timeframe, some cars went by in the background that were clearly post-80s. - the newspaper on the second plane jump read "49ers Clinch Record Fifth Superbowl Win" with a date of Sunday 1/29/1995. The Super Bowl was played on that day, so it would be more likely that the headline would appear in the following day's paper. Of course, it does say Extra, and being a west coast publication they may have had time to run off an evening edition. - incidentally that headline may have been a subtle payoff to the previous jump, in which Dan heard his 1994 self arguing with his brother as they entered the apartment to watch a football game, something about "wait until the playoffs". Presumably at least one of them is a 49ers fan, and as it turns out the 49ers made the playoffs and went all the way. - for the second week in a row Father Time has set up an overly-elaborate, convoluted labyrinth of causality just to save one guy. I don't think that Tanna wouldn't have been born if Dan hadn't been there, but nevertheless, couldn't there have been an easier way of getting pilot dude his bone marrow? - Livia asked who Dan was married to. I wonder if her "present" is her point of "death" in '99 or another point in the recent past. Conceivably she can only go into her past, and not her future (Dan's present), so the only way Dan can talk to her is by waiting for her to show up on one of his jumps. By extrapolation, it probably means Dan can't go into his own future either. - the fake brand names on all the products stick out like a sore thumb, especially in an era when product placement is supposedly all the rage. Considering how much use Dan gets out of his search engine, you'd think Google would have been happy to jump on board. I'd like to hear some New Coke and Crystal Pepsi jokes. |

"bad bloodgood?" "iron bloodgood?" "geritolmakes bloodgood? (possible marketing potential)" i got nothing... eta, btw... anti is starting to scare me with his posts. who remembers like that???

It's almost like doodling in your notebook throughout a whole lecture and then complaining afterwards that you didn't understand the material.yes! except, its absolutely nothing at all like that. but I did go back and rewatch it and it made more sense but also allowed me to catch even more irritating local inconsistencies such as the fact that you can't see golden gate bridge from golden gate park, not even quinting through binoculars, let alone as a gigantic backdrop FFS people, and I'm the one who's not paying attention?!?! actually i enjoyed it more once I realized what was going on - during the 80s timeframe, some cars went by in the background that were clearly post-80s.nice catch.... something that will probably not stick out to anyone outside this area, is during the 80s flashback the green JC Decaux public toilets were prominent in the background... they were set up sometime around 1997 i liked this more recent episode slightly more - there are still flaws and some things just don't make sense, but for light semi-supernatural type entertainment it's good fare. I still don't like the fishlike wife, but everyone else is pretty good. Next week looks to be good.

I really got a kick out of the plane sequences. How loose and happy everyone was on the 70's plane compared to today. People able to smoke anywhere they
wanted, being served an actual meal, doctors drunk of their asses without being asked to deplane. Good times.

It's only a matter of time before he goes back to Sept. 11, 2001.He may go back to that date for incidental reasons but there's no way he'd go there for the explicit purpose of affecting the events. All his jumps have been centered around San Francisco anyway. I'm dying to find out the reason why they're jumpingI'm not expecting them to explain this. There's two possibilities: a) it's some high-tech government experiment, which means a couple seasons' worth of Lostish mythology which I get enough of already; b) it's just God or some other supernatural force, like in Early Edition. I don't care as long as they play by the rules they've established. |

BTW did anyone notice the little boy on the 70's plane? He had a cowboy play gun and he was pointing it around..lol.
I like the show pretty much, but I don't get the pay-offs. All that jumping so some random guy can fly a plane in Darfur? It doesn't make sense to me. |

Kevin McKidd (wasn't he in that movie Bedrooms & Hallways?) and Reed Diamond must have spent hours on matching accents. Kevin sounds exactly like Reed.
