just curious...maybe im missing something....but why does everyone hate the CW so much? i mean yeah i get it, they dont have great shows, but why such hatred?
did they kill all your first borns? if you like the show...watch it. why be so concerned whether theyre gonna get ratings or not? you DO realize that without
ratings the show will get cancelled....so if you like it....watch it and stop "showing them a lesson".

I don't get the hate, either. But I think this is the first show that I've ever watched on the CW.

Pete107453 wrote: It's because of what they did to Veronica Mars - First, they renewed the show for only 13 episodes then extended it to 20, which confused the writers and forced them to change storylines and move them around to fit the schedule. Then for months they gave the fans hope that VM would be back for a fourth season (The Exec. Producer even made a season 4 trailer and the CW execs said they were highly considering renewing it). When the upfronts came, Veronica Mars was not included in their schedule, but Dawn Ostroff (big boss at the CW) assured fans that she was still reviewing the show's chances - only to cancel it without warning, rhyme or reason five days later. It's not jut the cancellation of the show - that we could've (almost) dealt with. But they toyed with fans for MONTHS beforehand, giving us false hope and then not even bothering to give it a proper cancellation announcement. As a result, the producers planned ahead for Season 4 and never gave the show a proper finale - it ended with several unresolved storylines and one major cliffhanger that will likely never get a conclusion. And then, just to rub salt in the wound, they replaced VM with Who Wants To Marry A Farmer. And I'm sorry, that's just not right. |

Dawn Ostroff cancelled VM under the radar so that there wouldn't be a Jericho like revolution.
Anyway, show was okay. Yet another example of a somewhat high concept 30 minute sitcom that got extended to an hour. Love Ray Wise as the devil. He's the only one in the cast that is truly solid. Though I love the lead, his earnest performance ruins the slacker quality of his character. This show could be gone by midseason if it doesn't pull decent enough numbers because the concept though interesting was executed strangely. The devil is ultra likeable and the procedural element of the show is too straight forward. The hell escapee was one dimensional. I'll continue watching if nothing else pops up on the other channels.

Pussycat Dolls was one of the best shows ever for closeups of hot chicks shakin' their lady parts. Who wouldn't want to see that?
I really didn't feel the Kevin Smithness of the show but I liked the hot friend Andie. I may watch again between the many dead spots of DWTS. |

3.22 million viewers for the premiere, another big disappointment for the CW. For comparison, Veronica Mars got 3.36 million viewers for its premiere episode
last year. And Reaper had way more promotion behind it.
Face it, people just aren't interested in watching the CW. |

The problem is that the CW is direction-less with its marketing and target audiences. They tried to make VM look like a fluffy teen-drama series in the
commericals when it was really so much more than that. Teenagers probably tuned in, were like "I dont get all of these pop-culture references and witty
banter, I'm out of here" and adults werent tuning in at all because the commercials made the show look cheesy. The network screwed the show, plain
and simple. VM never stood a chance with the way they were promoting it. Then they butchered the final season with forced romances and lame mysteries (sorry,
I love VM but the "who killed the dean" arc was terrible).
So yeah, I enjoyed Reaper but I dont trust The CW to take care of it. If you were to compare The CW to a bad boyfriend/girlfriend, Veronica Mars is the ex-show that got abused and dumped and Reaper is the new relationship that the network doesnt really deserve and will probably treat just as badly as they did VM. |

Reaper is just an okay show that had an excellent push. Veronica Mars was a great show with poor marketing. Agreed. The problem also lies in the fact that the
networks schedule is schizophrenic. You can have the best shows on the air but if they are programmed wrong then no one will watch them. The CW seems to be
stuck with shows that don't relate to each other thereby causing major programming errors and a lack of a network identity. It doesn't have a strong
brand like ABC or CBS. And it doesn't have a blockbuster show that can pull its sagging ratings up like FOX. Nor does it have critically adored/award laden
shows like NBC. So the network is fucked until it decides what it wants to be, because obviously being a watered down WB isn't working for them anymore.

I really liked it. Kinda Superbad meets Dogma. I doubt it'll last though.

Fuck the CW first of all.
If I do bother to give this show a chance it will only be because I'm Canadian and I can watch on City TV and the CW doesn't get to count it in their shitty ratings. Chances are I won't even both with it though because it originates from the CW and they can go fuck themselves. I'm warning you if you like this show think of everything you hate about it and stop watching now because you will be disappointed with cancellation in the near future, I promise you. Also you will be given much false hope, just when you think it's getting a second season it will be promptly canceled. The CW is an idiotic network that doesn't give two shits about fans or it's shows. Here's to their failure after less than 2 years as a network. I'll be having a party the day this fucking network goes off the air. Oh and fuck Dawn Ostroff too. |

I hate CW because of everything said about Veronica and for what they did to Gilmore Girls. Flipping back and forth, there will be another season, there
won't, etc.It will be a full season, a short season, etc. The cast of GG had some blame in this one, but at the end of the day the CW said "never
mind" and the show was forced to literally yank a series finale out of there asses at the very last minute.

I thought it was silly and fun, I'll keep watching as long as it airs. Unless it gets THAT stupid.
I've never watched a CW show, so in reading the responses here I was very interested in the viewpoints of the network. |

Shittiest network EVER!
It's not surprising since they just combined two rather shitty networks into one. UPN wasn't all that great except for ANTM and Veronica Mars and The WB had all shit on it except for Gilmore Girls. They combined into one super shitty family/tween fuck network called the CW. They don't have shows that go well together, they don't market their shows well, they don't know how to target their shows to the correct audience, they put shows on in stupid time slots etc etc. They suck big fat monkey tits. |

Stupidest thing ever. No one liked their dumb asses and pairing GG and VM wasn't a purely shit idea but marketing it like "GirLY SlUmber PaRTy
NiGht" was fucking stupid as hell. VM wasn't a fucking girly slumber party and candy show, it was a fucking detective show, people got murdered, there
were drug dealers and the list goes on. Hell GG wasn't even a fucking girly slumber party show the way those Aerie bitches made it seem.

But the show's creators didn't get that promise and so they walked. Leaving the CW to find a new showrunner that mangled the storylines and never quite figured out the true voice of the show. The actors weren't exactly going to sign up for another year of crappy, sub-par dialogue and further character assassination. |

I was a devoted, GAY, male VM fan and I felt uncomfortable watching the show when that shit came on.
OMG. DO YOU THINK LOGAN AND VM WILL KISS IF VERONICA DOESN'T GET ATTACKED BY THE SERIAL RAPIST/TORTURER? I DON 'T KNOW!!!! BUT OMG HE'S SO CUUUUTE!!!! I'VE NEVER BEEN RAPED OR MURDERED, BUT I DID HAVE A BOYFRIEND ONCE. IT'S SO TOTALLY COOL!

I Tivo'd this, season pass even and watched it for about 10 minutes. Always liked Keven Smith being I'm from NJ. Then the little growling dog starts
jumping at the window of the car, the Guy says thats cool and whack, he opens the door, the dog squeals. End of Joke. I turned it off, eraced it and cancelled
my season pass. That to me was one fucked up joke. Yup it doesn't take much.
