But look where you are. I can't watch a single season of Survivor anymore and come here without finding out the exact order of who's getting booted, and without constantly being reminded (in threads that seem like they have nothing to do with it) who's in the final two or three. Honestly, i don't even watch Survivor anymore once i have the show gets spoiled for me, not that i really care cause Survivor really does suck now. So basically, now that you know the season is spoiled, and you don't want to watch the shows that are available, tough it out and don't come in this thread is my best advice.

However, since I have other outlets where I can discuss Dexter without being spoiled, i'll just hang there until the season is over.

That's what I'm going to have to do with The Wire. A lot of people will be able to watch it a few days early On Demand, but I won't be able to watch it until its regular airing on Sunday nights. So it's my responsibility to either stay out of the thread, or read the thread at my own risk of being spoiled. Although I was pleased to read today that the series finale won't be released early, so at least everyone will get to watch the final episode at the same time.

Could not fucking believe the way Rita acts after the fire at Lyla's. Too unbelievable as any real mother would've given Dexter a mouthful and stayed away from him and anyone else that endangers the life of their kids....I mean, they didn't even find Lyla so why would Rita feel "safe" all of a sudden?

She killed Doakes so Dexter wouldn't have to. Kind of a cheap way to keep Dexter's "likeability" intact. I hope the writers don't use this plot device again. But I am really looking forward to season 3. Where does Dexter go from here? It should be very interesting.

I meant bringing in a supporting character to kill someone so Dexter doesn't have to break his code. It felt too contrived. But like I said in one of my previous posts, Doakes had to go. Once he found out about Dexter, that was it for him.

I've been asking for weeks, "did he kill her yet?" and it finally happened. She was a damn psycho. It was a sad way for Doakes to go though. I had grown to like that bad mother. Poor Doakes. Poor Angel. And even poor Deb with Lundy gone. I grew to like her this year too.

If that was his kill room as the captain said, why would he need to ask for directions? I'm not saying it's sloppy writing, but it is sloppy police work

I just finished ep 11 &12, and I agree it was a bit contrived for Lila to be the device that enables Dexter to keep his code in tact. But I was so fucking happy to see her die. Now Dex needs a new antagonist/protagonist, and I think that will be LaGuardia. She will be looking for the Butcher with each new body that surfaces in oder to clear Doakes (I will actually miss that bad ass! The final scenes with him and Dexter were amazing). Next season will see a new ritual being established, more bodies, and an even more twisted Dexter. He is splitting himself into too many parts...no pun intended. I still hate Deb.

I think this could have been a great series finale if for some reason season 3 doesn't happen, but I would love to see another season. I was actually kinda hoping Doakes would survive it somehow. Oh well. They did leave a few little things open. Like what Lila did with Dexter's tools and bag. And the incriminating voice mail he left on her cell phone. Oh, and for those who've read the books, I loved the fact that Doakes' corpse had a strong resemblance to the yodeling potatoes. Maybe it wasn't done on purpose, but great nonetheless! I am going to visit my parents for a month (they are old, L.A. is on strike, yadda, yadda). Problem is, I will be stuck in podunk Texas with no cable. Seriously, they don't have an answering machine, not even call waiting. The closest neighbor is 5 miles away. Can someone please give me a link to the Dexter season finale so I can be satiated before I get on the plane? I am not going to get back to L.A. until January 8th. UGH. The humanity! p.s. My parents don't allow alcohol in the house (alcoholic grandparents-both sides...go figure--as I sip my 3rd Jack & Coke). It's like I am going to rehab! AAaaaaaaaarg.
