Sorry to see you go #8. You really kicked some ass on the show. You should always be proud of your performance. Much love to you also.

Robrob! It looks like you don't agree with Val's tests... especially because:
Your backwards writing is impressive. It also strikes me as something you would have practiced before the show. I don't know why, but I feel like it was part of your "training". Was it? |

You never know about the spoiler. That could be a trick to throw everyone off. :-)
As to the writing, I've been doing stuff like that my entire life. I think it's so important to keep challenging yourself and testing yourself so your brain doesn't go to mush. I started teaching myself to be left handed about 14 years ago. Then I taught myself how to write backwards with both hands. Then I would practice writing in italics. I've even tried to write with my feet for fun. :-) I still have the left handed writing of a teenager, but someday it should be just as good as my right. I saw this comedian one time that could write with his left and right hand at the same time. I was really impressed with that. I think that's my next thing. The only things I refuse to become proficient at with my left hand are brushing my teeth and wiping my ass. :-) I also like to memorize everything. I was the only one there that could recite the alphabet backwards, but they didn't show that. And every year I spend about 5 minutes memorizing what day of the week every day falls on. However, the severe sleep deprivation and diet in Solitary really did affect my memory and my abilities. Some of the things I practiced the most, I ended up being the worst at. It was really interesting.... and frustrating. :-) |

I somehow doubt that the spoiler is a swerve, but we will soon see. :P Is it just me, or did the EPs treatment feel more like a "test" than a treatment? I mean, I'm not doubting the pain that accompanied the faceplant. I guess that this type of memorization and backwards writing seems to be more of a Test type activity than a Treatment. |

LoudmouthLee wrote:Val likes to make some of the treatments mental and physical. Like the spinning treatment last season where they also had to arrange colored blocks in a sequence. One of the hardest things about the Kiss my glass treatment is the sheer length of it. It's so hard to stay alert being so exhausted. I was so afraid of nodding off for a second and losing my balance. And we had to keep our feet behind the green board, so bending over to the glass hurt my back like an MF. And it only gets worse next week. :-) |

Dimitri's got his own show on Comedy Central, RobRob. Here's the thread for it here.

Dammit # 8 that was your treatment to win! So sorry to see you lose, but at this point, I hate to see any of the F4 lose.
#3 w/ the badunkabunk butt thingie compressed T-shirts? I love this chick. I'm calling her now FTW. So what was the point of solving the Valpahbet? It seemed like each of you were put through equal torture. |

For some reason the main thing I noticed this episode is that RobRob and Andrew say fuck more than every other past season contestant combined. Not that I
have anything against swearing, but I prefer it when people have more interesting ways of expressing their frustration (Mark and JP probably gave the best
exasperated reactions).
I was sad we got a boring segment on hunger and still very little on character development - it's like when they waste time on Survivor talking about how hard the environment is and ignore half the castaways. I liked 3/4 of 2.0 final four too, but I was more invested in all of them since they had much better edits. That treatment enters my Top 5 though - wickedly creative, though I wish they'd just thought of different ways to extend the memorisation/writing part, since that'd probably be the only task I could guarantee I'd do well at. #3s always seem doomed to lose just at the last hurdle, but being the smallest should help her with the "buried alive"-style task. I don't see #7 losing, unfortunately, since Stephen's the only other contestant to go so far without ever quitting. I saw this comedian one time that could write with his left and right hand at the same time.Useless Trivia: Ex-President James Garfield used to show off by answering (English) questions by writing the answer in Ancient Greek with one hand and Latin with the other. He'd definitely win 19th Century Presidential Solitary. |

Great episode to those who participated, it was fun to watch you guys this time around! Pod 8 I was surprised that you wanted to go home so close to the end
but glad you stayed. Pod 4 and 7 put up a good fight in the treatment, which seemed easy yet not at the same time. Reminded me of that famous scene from A
Christmas Story. To Pod 3, I'm kind of rooting for you but we'll have to wait and see next week if you make it to the F2.

Some of those Valphabet spelling errors cracked me up. Were those flashing lights really bugging you? I would have had to just stand there with my eyes
squeezed shut until they stopped, strobes make me feel like my brain is leaking out my ears.
Also, I love you pottymouths! I too am a pottymouth. When I was in the hospital all fucked up, my poor mom heard all sorts of stuff coming out of my mouth she had never heard before, lol. #8, sorry to see you go, but final 4 is nothing to be ashamed of! |

Solitary v3.0 Episode 7 "Rest in Pieces"
The final three contestants attend their own funerals after building coffins. Later, Val spins a spine-tingling treatment that leaves two lives handing in the balance.
Solitary v3.0 Episode 8 "The W of S 3.0 ="
The conclusion to Val's relentless experiment (and the Season 3 finale) begins with one contestant falling from grace. Then, the final two go head-to-spinning-head in an "a-maze-ing" test that gives one an advantage in the electrifying final treatment. |
