Oh, the Heidi/Travis routine was so romantic.
But I do hope that women pair of hiphopper judges don't come back this season, at least as judges. They don't have enough personality for the show, IMO. |

I LOVE this show but after the fanbase disaster of last season w/ Donyelle being the last female standing b/c the delusional tweens shipping her w/ Benji and as a result outlasting BETTER dancers like Allison, Natalie, Heidi and Martha AND w/ Benji winning over Travis or (what's his name?) the black guy who was initially paired w/ Aleksandra being screwed over by the judges..I just don't know.

After the whole "Benji" debacle, I hope SYTYCD redeems itself with likeable talented dancers

Despite the final outcome, I think SYTYCD Season 2 is the best season of any reality show ever. All of the final 10 were amazing and likable. So what if they didn't go home exactly in descending order of talent... Yes, Heidi and Travis were the 2 best, but Benji was usually good and Donyelle was sometimes good. Ivan was an amazing element on the show, too. Martha was the only dud in the top 10, and she was even good from a technical perspective.

Totally fell in love with this show watching reruns on MuchMusic.
The auditions were well done because they were really looking for skilled dancers and you could see the judges wanting to pull their hair out every time some dud would say they were a dance instructor. The Vegas part was great and hectic and over too soon. Then the competition. Brutal to watch really good dancers in their own genre just not be able to cut it at something else. Even better watching someone like Ivan or Musa really grow outside their specialty. My favorites from last season - Allison and Travis. And Jessica was hawt. |

After auditions but before the actual show - I want them to go back to the workshop thing which was a lot more fair than the shitfest they did last season.
In the 1st season - everyone had to take like 5 different style of dance workshops and in each get scored and then the scores would be combined and the people w/ the lowest scores got booted. That made sense, last season didn't. They'd cut people after each genre which was completely unfair b/c perhaps someone was great in 4 styles and needed work in 1 and had the 1st style as the 1st test and failed. |

I hope they draw for couples like in the first season. I didn't like when one dancer propped up another (Benji and Donyelle)

Oh yeah..good call. That's another thing I hated. The permanant couple thing was just stupid and didn't work. It only produced delusional tween shippers and was really unfair to those that landed in the B3 w/ votes.
The judges couldn't ever just cut the weakest male/female b/c they always had to look at the new pair being made which was really an unfair element. New pairs each week...only way to do it. |

I hope that Asian street dancer who was cut due to lack of worker's permit will be on the show this year. He had a lot of potential.
