I'm looking forward to the tears. CW drops buckets like nobody's business. Just be glad there are no staircases she can throw herself down. Unless the hatch has a scond floor they haven't found yet :)
Hey, maybe that's how she survived the crash? She skydived like when Annie had Reva on the crashing plane. Oh that Annie.... |

I think Libby was obsessed with Hurley, stalking him. That's why she was on the plane.
My theory is that she was completely crazy when she got on the plane, but the island "fixed" her as it did Rose, Locke and Sun. Yet, even getting her wits back, her deeper feelings for Hurley still remain. ETA: I realize the big question would be how did she get out of the mental hospital. Dunno. |

I read that the actress who plays her was cast in a CBS pilot. Doesn't sound too good for our dear Libby if the pilot makes it on air.

I was leaning toward Libby being a twin. I remember a spoiler a while back stating that there was going to be some kind of "twin" issues on the island.
Now I know we saw a brunette Libby in the mental hospital - because the attendant called her "Libby" - but perhaps our Libby is actually her twin who's taken her identity. I hate to reference Guiding Light, but there was a huge story there back in the 80's with twins Sonny/Solita and switched identity and craziness, etc. Maybe the real Libby never got out and had told her sister about Hurley and new Libby has been stalking him since her sister's death or something. |

As far as the pilot thing goes, what I had read was that after the role was recast (given to Cynthia Watros), it was downgraded from a series regular to a guest star.

I don't think she's dead for a couple of reasons.
1. The blankets 2. No blood 3. Kate said "she's dead" not "they're dead" 4. Hurley wasn't hysterical in the promo 5. She's the only current castmember that has not had a flashback. We'll be getting Libby's backstory next episode. I'm thinking she's hovering at death's door when she starts remembering. I think the second death will be someone else and will take us completely by surprise. |

^^ I agree with that! I don't think Libby's dead either.
The only wrench is that if she's alive, she can tell them that Michael did it...and it doesn't look like she did that in the previews either. |

Supposedly there are two deaths in sweeps month. AL was the first - who's the second?
However, most of this was based on seeing three graves in the spoiler photo. I thought those graves were old, but supposedly they are new graves at the new church. Sorry - off the topic of Libby. |

there is a thin line between spoilers and speculation. Many people watch the show so closely that sometimes they see what direction the story is taking. Many times they are wrong. Sometimes they've written their speculation and just because they are right doesn't make it a spoiler. And also as far as spoilers go...98% (yeah this is just a number I picked out of thin air<g>) of them never come to pass. So if you think you've accidently read what is a spoiler....take it with a grain of salt. It's most likely nothing.
and this season especially...writers, producers and such are trying to spoil the spoilers.( and I think they are going to be extremely successful) So it's fun for all fans to watch, because no one knows what is really going to happen. My speculation of Libby? I'm wondering if she's a twin. And I've never read any spoiler about that. :)Peggy |
