Bad Twin was delivered to Hyperion just days before Troup boarded Oceanic Flight 815, which was lost in flight from Sydney, Australia to Los Angeles in September 2004. He remains missing and is presumed dead. This tie-in novel will be released May 2. It's certain to have some hints and clues to entertain the obsessed over the summer hiatus. Here is the amazon link for more info. (If that's not okay, I'll remove it.) BAD TWIN Since this isn't a show, and everyone will be reading at different times, spoilage is inevitable. So make sure you are okay with that, or finished with the book before you start chatting in this thread.

Seems the deceased author had a thing with Cindy Chandler, the flight attendant. Also noticed Widmore jumps out soon as you open the cover. TMI?

Reportedly on the back cover it gives info about the author : Gary Troup. Gary Toup has been missing since September 2004, when the jetliner that was carrying him from Sydney to Los Angeles crashed somewhere over the South Pacific. this certainly appears to give a definitive date as to when Lost is taking place....if true :)Peggy

But I'm one of the few who believes the crash did occur then.. not in the past, not in the future. The freaky dated stuff in backstories is there to screw with us. I'm not ruling out a wrinkle in time, reincarnation or any of the other time theories, I just believe in the minds of the 815ers it was September 22, 2004 when they got on that plane.

It's suposedly a mathematical formula that can predict the apocalypse. Google dug this up: www.valenzettifoundation.org/ IT's DEFINITELY tie-in. The numbers appear in the FAQ.
