It's obvious he wants redemption over the death of his brother and perhaps he thinks the island has given it to him. It's hard to tell. He felt guilty about the Others he killed, but felt that confessing his sin to Henry cleansed him.
But has he really found peace on the island? Or will he be picking up that stick and cracking some heads soon?
I'm sooooo stoked about the Locke/Eko eppy coming up. Maybe it will be a test to see who really has the most faith. Unlike Locke, I don't think Eko's faith rests with the island, but with God...but hey, we'll see, huh?
