Ben controls Smokey? Right? From opening the metal fan vents to let the Smoke out thus all producing sound effects of the creeking noise? How does Ben control the smoke? Does it have a special wind pull or something? Huge exhale/inhale fans? There have to be cameras planted all in the forest for "Smokey" to know where to find his unknowing victims.

Hell, Smokey might not be controlled by anyone. He might have been in the past but has now gone rogue. And Smokey isn't really smoke. I think it's tons of nanobots. We may never find out for sure but hopefully will by the end of the series.
