OK, I may be a little behind, but I just realized almost every single main Lostie has Daddy issues. Are the writers just lazy with the characters' background conflicts or is this gonna all eventually add up to something?
So you say "What Daddy issues, lmolm?" Well, lucky for you I've made a handy little list to start off with. Every one of the four "main" characters (Jack, Kate, Locke, Sawyer) has them, as well as many others. Just for starters:
Jack - LOADS of daddy issues
Kate - don't remember if her real father was mentioned, but she blew up her step-daddy
Locke - well, i guess you father scamming you out of your body parts and later trying to kill you counts as "daddy issues"
Sawyer - ok, my memory of his story is a little foggy, but i know his father was in trouble or something and wasn't he the one who killed himself and the mom? anyway, the Real Sawyer also counts in a way too as Sawyer is obsessed with him
Hurley - daddy abandoned him for a long time
Sun/Jin - sun's daddy basically controlled their lives and that's who they were running away from
Claire - her daddy was jack's daddy, 'nuff said
Charlie - ok i can't remember if he has daddy issues. i know he has brother issues but not sure on the daddy ones
Walt/Michael - that was a daddy issue playing out right there on the beach
Alex - well, ben may or may not be her real father, but either way it's obvious she has some daddy issues with him
So what gives?
