If you can't guess, there's one for each completed season. I was recently given both, and have enjoyed what I have heard. I'm surprised as just how many variations there are of a certain song. The first listing of it, I believe, is "Win One For The Reaper." I recall hearing an incarnation of this during the pilot, but the first listing is many episodes after. Anyone know anything about this? On a related note, I also wish to obtain some Survivor sountracks that I am without (Palau, Exile Island, Cook Islands, UK). If anyone wants to do an online trade, PM me. Keep this thread on topic.

Wow. Had no idea. I wouldn't be surprised if Lost has a "theme" for each character, recurring situation, John Williams does this a lot in scoring. I mean Jurassic Park is a pretty good example of this. Everytime they escape from a dino same theme, everytime there is a scientific talk we might hear some pan flutes, etc etc. I never bothered to listen to Lost's music but y'know some deeper meaning about the characters might be established through listening.

Aside from the written scores and such, they seem to like 50's and 60's music quite a lot...they were in the hatch of course, but also for certain scenes ("Downtown" in the opening of Season 3, "Slowly" in the opening of Kate's most recent episode). Although it may be totally inappropriate for the moment, it somehow just FEELS right always. I think they make great calls with all the music decisions. I would love to get a CD of all the music together...do the CD's have just the character themes and such though, or all of the music used in a season?

Both soundtracks also include a listing of which episodes the songs were used on (at least used for the first time). There's a certain song I would love to have that Hurley was listening to once. I have no idea what the name of the song is or who was singing it.

It was Delicate by Damien Rice, just in case that's the one you were talking about.

I'm not really familiar with Willie Nelslon's music, so I couldn't even identify his voice. I do love love song. It got stuck in my head once, and as you may imagine, I couldn't figure out where it was from for the life of me.

That was the song that was playing at the end of Tabula Rosa. I'll never forget the end of that episode. Locke just starring at Michael and Walt. That was before Walkabout; before we knew anything about Locke. Before Walkabout, I had a theory that Locke was on the island prior to the crash. Wow. Great memories. I <3 this show. :)

I remember downloading a bunch of season one music last year - they had some really good stuff... Joe Purdy's song (Wash Away) was awesome.
