Remember that Jack's the only person who showed up in the first place. It's clearly someone that isn't exactly well-liked by the rest of the Losties.
It's likely Ben, Locke, or even possibly Juliet. |

I don't think they bought back Walt for nothing. My guess is either:
a.) it was Michael's funeral... Walt lives in that area and is taking care of him OR b.) it was LOCKE's funeral. Walt lives in that area and is taking care of him since NO ONE else would take care of him (let's assume Locke goes crazy thus needs to be taken care of and Walt is the only one who understands him. Placing my life savings it's scenario B!!!!! Hence the ambiguous feelings and no one shows up! Damn I'm good! |

The first name/word in that article was 3 letters long. I couldn't read it, but I could tell that much. So I think it's Ben, or another character that we haven't met yet.

I hadn't thought about another character we possibly haven't met yet.
Not knowing how long it's been since the rescue OR if everyone was forced to leave the island, I'm sure it will be hard to pinpoint who it is for quite some time. We could, however, probably rule out anyone on the island who wouldn't be ending up in the U.S. anyway; i.e., Sun/Jin, Sayid....) |

Yep, I really thought it was Sawyer too. I mean, I didn't call the flash-forward thing until it was obvious at the end, but looking back, I definitely think it was Sawyer.
I imagine Kate moves on and doesn't want to remember him blah blah blah. And who would go to Sawyer's funeral? No one. Most of the other people seem like they would at least have family there. |

If it was Michael's death it's possible he would have assumed a different name. How could he explain that he was the only survivor of flight 815? He would have needed an Alias. But if it was Michael wouldn't Walt have been there for his father's funeral? Also if it was an assumed name how would Jack or Kate recognize the name unless they ran across him after being rescued?
