I thought that he was writing a goodbye/I love you message to Claire on his hand, but he actually tried to save the rest of the survivors from Naomi's people. Very admirable.

I don't know, I was hoping he would live. His death seemed avoidable at that point. He and des could have run and jumped into the moon pool and made it to the surface. Or he could have swam out through the blown out portal.

Stupid charlie had plenty of time to run out the door and shut it from the outside. I'll miss Charlie. But since i have no idea what the show is going to be like next season it doesn't really matter.

No, Des will get the message. And alert the losties to it. Which means that whatever nefarious plans this new enemy has, they can't pull it off in the first eppy of Season 4, thus ending the series. With 47 eppys to go after that one, things can't be so quickly resolved, ya know!

It was just ridiculous altogether that patchy would swim all the way around to blow up the charlie instead of just throwing the grenade in the room when he got up. That whole scene was retarded and completely avoidable.

Haha, the Shield used it way better. Having some guy in water knocking on a window smiling while holding a grenade was ridiculous.
