It's like WE ALL CARE TOO MUCH ABOUT THE FINALE when clearly Japan is the best leg this season <3, sry India but Japan delivered unexpected awesomeness <3 <3 <3 that fueled the fire for me, WHICH WAS LOST IN THE FINALE. -.- Ugh, it's like KYLE going home, KYLE was awesome then with her gone, ANTM got rather eh. -.- lol so passionate it definitely has all the makings of a damn amazing leg for me and it's easily top 50 on paper, but somehow it didn't deliver as much as I pictured it to (mainly the "shut the fuck up" moment, albeit charged and ~passionate~ wasn't as entertaining as hoped, it kinda looked dreary during the second half of the leg - probably the lighting/mood of the day itself, and I felt like an actual sumo task would be more amazing than the photo-op one). To be fair, the highest-ranking final leg in this is at #73 (and that was mainly carried by the F3 themselves <333), and TAR12's finale is actually at #96 right now, so #91 is damn impressive for a finale. Also, I've been strongly missing the Detour on a finale. As far as Japan goes: see above ^_^

Posts: 11798 05/09/12 09:48 AM Registered User Reply Quote More Recent Posts	omw it's a SURPRISE TAR Norge update! =O Featured Leg: NO01-06 (Vietnam) Overall Ranking: between 160-170 I was debating on using an Imperial Palace pic or a Khai Dinh Tomb pic, but since Imperial Palace visits currently lead (and I don't really repeat the same pic for two write-ups - go check it out for yourself, y'all!), I want to make sure there are more Imperial Palace pics for me to choose from. I mean, the Hue leg itself was completely reminiscent of nearly every single Hue-centric leg in the past (except for TAR3's Hue --> Da Nang leg, but that was in a different level, so w/e), so no real high placings. As anyone who's been following this ranking can attest, I'm not truly fond of reminiscent legs. For example: overdone Khai Dinh tomb visit is overdone...so thank goodness they didn't re-do the coin Roadblock. <3 They had a flower-arranging Roadblock instead, which is simple, but somehow Vietnamese tombs make simple tasks like these amazing (aka they had to search the temple grounds for women with flowers and the number/arrangement of each kind of flower must match). <3 And speaking of Vietnamese tombs, this leg was solely a tomb-hopping leg for the first half, going from tomb to tomb to tomb, one of which featured a dangling clue <3 which teams had to retrieve using their own methods (the amazing teams finding the clue first <3 the accompanying music of doom ) <3 After that it was mainly more of downtown Hue, which featured the redo of the Plow Detour we've seen oh-so-many times (and to less entertaining results - "my ox is broken" > all other carabao-related meltdowns), faced up against the awesome Sticks Detour in TARA3 (with five times the number of required sticks). <3 So it only amazed me more that more teams went for the incense sticks task. <3 And then we end with a cyclo trip to Imperial Palace (of course), which culminated in the birth of someone to fill the Bjarne & Vilde entertainment void (yay <3), the elimination of a meh team (yay <3) and the return of Karim & Khabat to the top (ugh </3). Ep6 team ranking! [+] STAND-OUT FAVORITES THIS EP <333 1. Frank & Ivar (standing cluelessly in front of the bus station goes into hug "I'm sweaty, but..." continually trading their can of Coke, amongst other things< while they're running to the truck getting in a spat over hiding from non-existent teams <3 Ivar nagging Frank at the Detour being incense stick experts <3 Frank continually running the cyclo to the side of the road it's as if the Kwins and Derek & Drew morphed into one bumbling almost-dominant team <3) 2. Kari & Bjørn (Bjørn continually pestering the taxi driver <3 Kari sniping about being too pestering <3 "do you have an identification?" Bjørn trying to climb a tree and then falling Bjørn continually nagging Kari shushing Khabat cheering loudly at the Roadblock "you're holding them back, they should've left" mocking Michelle in confessional "stop him! stop him! stop him!" Bjørn crashing Kari into the street corner I finally have replacements for Bjarne & Vilde withdrawal <3) LOVE <3 3. Cathrine & Michelle ("100%? 200%?" "grave? grave? you know? he's laying dead?" racing with Julie & Vichy to get the same clue Michelle just tossing the clue in the ground Michelle high-pitching at the mention of "massage" complaining 'bout getting a longer massage successfully getting them to delay Kari & Bjørn <3 "we were here first" ) IMMENSE LIKE no one =O MILD LIKE 4. Tor Einar & Cathrine (they're reaching UTRlol levels at this point ) MEH 5. Morten & Truls (they actually made a fall from first to almost-worst seem meh :/ and in spite of that, I still don't dislike them :P they just seem like rootable meh nice guys :P that, and I still prefer them to Julie & Vichy/there's still bigger threats Karim & Khabat) 6. Julie & Vichy (Julie suddenly going PMS mode on Vichy's ass that's all I have, unfortch :/ and I didn't really care that much for them :/) SLIGHT DISLIKE :/ 7. Karim & Khabat (Karim reminds me of Kaysar :/ and I didn't really feel them rubbing their feet up to the masseuse's faces </3 the most important thing tho: THEY MUST BE STOPPED </3 they need a Snowboarders-level elim ASAP) LOATHE </3 no one and for the booted teams! Posts: 11798 05/09/12 09:49 AM Registered User Reply Quote More Recent Posts	And just to make it more fun: it's actually a double update! =O Featured Leg: NO01-07 (Vietnam --> Australia) Overall Ranking: between 310-320 idk if I should be surprised with the first Australia leg not wowing me so much or if I should've expected to be less-than-impressed. The usual teams delivered (which was awesome), yes, but not to the normal extent that they do. And then the other teams either stayed bland/nice, bland/dominant or emerged slightly only to get last place. :/ And then we get to the tasks. The "Aussie in a cossie" task repeat <///3 the "Aussie in a cossie" task repeat as a needle-in-a-haystack Detour task mild <3 nearly everyone going for Bikini, then switching to Ball (which was a beach volleyball task, so mild <3 for a proper setting). That left for a completely underwhelming Detour as somehow it didn't come across as interesting as I tried to write about it. And after that it went somewhat downhill. The Aussie slang challenges get rehashed again, but as a simple Roadblock which was simply learning it and passing it on (the RB person starting to get pissed at Frank for not getting it was slightly funny tho ). And after that is a sailing task (yawn x10000), followed by a simple knotting task (Gordian knot in NZ > this, tho extra points for the random Captain Cook appearance ) before checking in at the mat. Not much really sustained my interest for the entire episode, except my current top 3 teams (which will sadly not be the top 3 as the other teams are either eliminated - lolspoiler - or dominating the race at this point in time </3) and the surprise vegemite sandwich eating task (after the pallet-building task). I can't believe it took them this long to have a vegemite task, and it was so worth it. <3 The host even puked after eating the vegemite sandwich while explaining the task. That being said, you know the leg isn't at all wonderful if one of the best parts of the leg is how a task was explained. :P Thankfully, TAR Norge has shown itself to be quite capable of amazingness, so it's not an overall season moodkiller. <3 Ep7 team ranking! [+] STAND-OUT FAVORITES THIS EP <333 1. Frank & Ivar ("I feel like I'm taking a shower...in my sweat" their vegemite puking montage burping after finishing the sandwich "what is this?" port person says "vegemite" "what's that...ah don't tell don't tell" Frank hitting the ball with his head getting the "we're on a glamorous sail" montage while everyone else gets tense music <3 "which way do I row?" ) LOVE <3 2. Cathrine & Michelle (strong-arming their taxi driver to not tell Frank & Ivar's taxi driver <3 "if he call again, you tell him wrong way" Michelle ducking from the ball, then running right towards the net "don't get your knickers in a knot" Cathrine snipes at Michelle for continuing to pester her ) 3. Kari & Bjørn (getting barked at by a dog, then having an encounter with what I think are bats Kari being randomly proud 'bout their pallet getting complimented with "it's a beauty" their pallet then randomly getting re-rejected "we're looking for a special girl" ) LIKE 4. Tor Einar & Cathrine (Tor Einar watching as Cathrine finishes the pallet getting a drink in the bar while asking for directions trolling the Sydney bar person "we know where the bar is now" ) MEH 5. Morten & Truls (Truls kicking the ball over the net I have basically nothing else tho) 6. Karim & Khabat (Captain Cook continually telling them "no" <3 too bad he eventually caved and gave them "yes" </3 again: THEY.MUST.BE.STOPPED.) DISLIKE no one and for the booted teams! LOVE <3 1. Bjarne & Vilde (8th) LIKE 2. Martha & Elise (9th) MEH 3. Julie & Vichy (7th) 4. Pål Christian & Ivar (10th) 5. So basically there's a kung fu challenge (TAR challenge alert!) and they have to act in a scene with Nicholas Tse (I srsly only heard of him this ep ). Laura wins, and the girls get into some argument over how she "seduced" Tse to win and how she'll "sleep her way to the top". It was all so weird and crazy and I LOVE it. I guess it suffices to say there was another Miss J cameo (and once again she brings the DRUH-MUH <3). <333 The photoshoot was then up in the air at the Macau Tower, which was a great photoshoot concept 'cause there was wind and rain and the girls were scared shitless and they were just on the edge of a tall tower. As a TAR fan tho: special <///3 for the bungee jump mention (PS: it would've been lolz to see these girls bungee off tho if TARA1 can do a photo challenge while bungeeing, why not them? ). Anyways we get to panel and Eboni's eliminated, but BAM! Alisha quits too. Well Seymone delivered as she was expected, but Kyle whom we all thought is BORING, managed a full-on crack bitch-mode, that made everyone go after her, ONLY A STAR COULD DO THAT. She is still the best girl from the cycles I've watched (13-18) I think only Angelea or Sundai can top Kyle, but for now Kyle is the best model and NEXT DOOR-SIA. No one can even be NEXT DOOR-SIA. THEY'RE ALL JUST JEALOUS. Seymone, well I love Reality Show contestants that eats (aka Ronald ). If I rank the reality show contestants: THOMAS (& JILL) = KRACHEL > Kyle > Angelea > EVERYONE ELSE > Marianna & Julia (atleast Rachel blinked so that elevates her & TK) Without Kyle, the show took a drastic nose dive, which is the next two episodes, it just rebounded with Nicholas Tse causing drama so that's that. Kyle really is the powerhouse and to see her go so early with a booty tooch pad over EBORENI It was heartbreaking.

This season's kinda straddling the "simply like" area for now, but this leg was definitely dragging. Even though I am kinda amazed (and pleased <3) this is the first time we got a Blue Mountains visit, the entertainment was generally not there. Like, 2/3 of the teams I barely felt their presence and the other 1/3 weren't on their usual entertainment level. And then the tasks themselves polarized my opinions. The best example of this would actually be the snake Roadblock. I'm supposed to feel like it's just a generic Roadblock (and it is), but somehow the snakes (Jim the snake <3), the snake handler ("you're now an Australian snake handler!" <3) and the intro to the RB task ("are the snakes ready, Andrew? are they hungry?" ) made it better. And as for the rest: generic climb up/rappel down Detour <///3 most teams choosing choosing the obviously much more difficult climb up Detour + mild <3 repeat of the boomerang task as a side task <333 repeat of the boomerang task in general </3 snake puzzle as a side task <333 snake puzzle as a task in general <///3 generic Handicap task <///3 Handicap tasks being normally generic that it's consistent, expected and it still feels more useful than the Speed Bump <3 I still encourage anyone to try and watch this show, but I won't try selling them that pitch using this episode. Frank & Ivar (Frank's "omw he's drowning" montage stick shift problems Ivar's what-I-think-is-about-climbing-that-heights confessional <3 only 'cause I feel like it contributes to their future against-all-odds victory <3 them getting the safari-hunting theme music during the boomerang throw them getting the best theme music in general Ivar waiting for a lost boomerang ) LIKE 3. Kari & Bjørn (navigationownage <3 they were admittedly kinda bland this ep tho :P) MEH 4. Tor Einar & Cathrine (being totally invisible during their elim leg </3 I still felt some form of sadness when they left tho, and I can't explain it :/ also, Cathrine's one of the prettiest racers I've ever seen) 5. Karim & Khabat (gj to Khabat for dealing with the snake bite well better yet, gj to Khabat for actually causing such an incident to happen and apparently navigation's yet another weakness <3 navigation + puzzles final leg plz <3) 6. Morten & Truls (I don't understand Norwegian, which I believe is what's keeping me from ~getting~ them, either in a good or bad way, but from what I'm understanding: they're nice, they're not that dynamic, they're dominating and the new "THEY MUST BE STOPPED" team...but they'll still make better winners than half the winners on TAR ) DISLIKE no one :D and for the booted teams! LOVE <3 1. Bjarne & Vilde (8th) LIKE 2. Martha & Elise (9th) MEH 3. Julie & Vichy (7th) 4. Pål Christian & Ivar (10th) 5. Kenneth & Hakan (11th) Final notes: -- the multiple-episode working partnership between Cathrine & Michelle/Frank & Ivar fans -- the Australian lifeguard commentators <333 trolling the contestants with "the sharks are feeding out there" flirting with Michelle getting a laugh in right after Michelle adjusts her top them + the other amazing Aussie locals just makes me EXCITED for TARAus2 even more <3 -- Michelle's boobage not being censored =O so was this an accident or are the Norwegians really just lax when it comes to censoring (<3)? -- THREE legs in Australia (ftr, China, Argentina, Chile and Brazil are the other three-leg countries) <///3 people are, however, saying that the next one's amazing, so I'll hold back all judgment until I see the ep

On one hand, I could keep this leg down in the bottom regions for not only being the third leg in the same country (this should NOT become a trend <///3 major <3 for FINALLY visiting Melbourne for a legit leg tho), but for providing plenty of horrid main tasks. Skydiving Roadblock? I didn't feel that. Tennis or football for the Detour? I've expressed so many times in the past how I dislike these sorts of things for a leg (and it rob.bed Frank & Ivar of a righteous victory, so that's twice the hate). <///3 And then the climb to the sky deck for the Pit Stop was fine, but it very could've easily Bama'd someone (or someone I like in this case), so I potentially could've had issues with that one to. I could actually put the leg in the mid-300s just for these alone, especially since I didn't really find much to be amusing during these segments. However, I can't do that because the two side-tasks were amazing. The barrel-rolling task was overdone, but it came with an additional serving task, and that bit brought the lolz. And then we have the amazing prison task, unarguably one of the best tasks in the history of all TARdom <3 finding a mini-replica of a famous painting in a famous Melbourne lane <333 suddenly getting arrested by guards <333 "the court finds you...guilty!" <333 getting thrown in jail for no reason known to them <333 solving a riddle to get set free <333 the series of "incorrect" fail montages <333 the twins being the only one to get them right (which is even more amazing considering their arguably Kwin-like start) <333 Right now it straddles near the very middle, and that's 'cause I'm conflicted 'bout bumping it higher up or lower down. I have to note though: I may be undecided on the leg as a whole, but I still found it much better than the other 2 Australia legs. Ep9 team ranking! [+] IANU'S EPISODE FAVOS <333 1. Frank & Ivar ("my ass! my ass! it kinda hurts my ass!" "which side do we serve? to the left of her or to the right?" and again with the wonderful theme music <3 having trouble with serving the wine "I'm so shaky" getting an applause after their serving stint continuing to talk while the policeman shuts them up getting snippy with their facial reactions riddlegods <3 considering the Leg 3 curse, they're my FTW picks now <3) LOVE <3 3.
