Shambo = Galu's Chicken 
They really spent a lot of time on Shambo, Erik, and the chicken in the Recap tonight.
In Miconesia, both Eliza and Chet were metaphorically identified with the chickens as outsiders. Chet was the weak one that the others keep pecking until he is done. Parvati was kind to the last chicken, letting it go before Final TC. That foreshadowed that she'd get the swing votes she needed from outsiders Eliza and Jason.
This season, Shambo was the chicken keeper, she lost the chicken, and was punished with exile by Black Russell. That alienated her, making her Galu's "lost chicken" gamewise.
Tonight, Erik was obsessed with with capturing the chicken. Just like he had the misguided idea of trying to use Shambo as a pawn against the other women. "If I can capture the chicken I can win the game." He was pursuing the one bird that had flown the coop. Then Evil Russell undoes his work, lets two chickens out. Just like Foa would boot Erik and steal Shambo.
Great material for a Thanksgiving episode.
