Is there anything about the editing that ever pissed you off in particular? I always hated how they forced the idea of romance down our throats on Borneo. It obviously wasn't anything more than friendship between Greg and Colleen, but they chose to pigeonhole them in a cliche anyway.

Notable editing that irked.....
Season 2- according to Colby, Nick worked hard, but sure EVERYONE takes a break and I think that was edited to make Nick look lazy to be "gervis" like. Season 6- the big one, Christy Smith's vote as a juror in the end. Supposedly she walks to the urn real fast, writes jenna's name down, and then it is clear that they have edited out what she said. Most believe she misunderstood Probst's instructions and voted Jenna thinking she was going against her. |

The whole Tyson/Erinn editing. For some reason they always showed them together or talking about each other and nothing happened in the game between them. The
editing just always made them seem like they'd be final 2 or something.
Anyone else get this at all? or am I delusional? |

Susie's editing definitely made me go WTF. She definitely showed signs of game and they could have really delved deeper into it.
Also, any UTR editing to any early boot has always irked me. I want to be given reasons for these people getting voted off, not shit coming out of the blue. |

Susie's editing definitely made me go WTF. She definitely showed signs of game and they could have really delved deeper into it.X. The other thing that annoyed me was how you always had certain castmembers (Corrine and Randy) constantly harp about how annoying and talkative Susie is, and yet we never really saw her. That was a definite WTF moment. Other edits. Becky-I understand they may think she was kind of boring, but she made it to the final 3. They definitely could have beefed her storyline a bit more. It was kind of interesting that she was apparently quite a diva during the first couple of days (apparently she got into a huge argument with Cao Boi and Brad) and yet that was never shown. Probably the most WTF editing, was when she was getting targetted in episode 3...and she and Candice were the ones initiating the Aitu alliance, and we hear 0 confessionals from her. Jenn (Palau)-Replace Becky with her. Exact same thing. The frustrating thing is apparently she was an incredibly shrewd player, but none of that was shown. Rebecca-Come on, you couldn't give one minute to show her final words? Coach-I really don't need to hear him 95% of each episode, and the other 5% be the other castaways talk about him. You have 16 contestants, use all of them. I think I am going to hate Russell H, because of the same exact reasons. |

Any person making it to the Final TC and having an invisible or under-the-radar edit (Becky, Cassandra, Susie). It's simply unacceptable. These people
are out there for 39 days and spend literal hours every day in confessionals, getting grilled by producers about every
single aspect of the game and their thoughts about it. Even if they aren't really contenders for the win (like Becky or Cassandra), would it kill the
editors to use some of the abundant footage they have and try to weave a storyline that makes the Final TC look a little more suspenseful?
In Cook Islands and Fiji, we automatically knew that Becky and Cassandra weren't going to win based on their edits alone, when really, they could have been edited in such a way that we didn't know they were shut-out until the votes were revealed. As for Susie, her invisible edit is even more perplexing seeing as she was one vote away from the win, and was responsible for the move that totally shifted the balance of power in the game at the Final 10. I have no idea why they didn't give her (or Bob, for that matter) more screen time. Oh yeah, because we had to deal with attention hogs like Sugar and Ace and Randy and Corinne and... |

Editing just in general here....I wish we had more down time. Like I wish they moved the show to Sundays and gave it two hours and let us see a lot of
downtime. Like make every reward challenge a feast at a nice resort and let the tribe get wine and beer. I wanna see at least a half hour of them just talking
about anything...politics, music, past Survivor seasons, whatever. Just them being them and not just 100% "castaways". Maybe even have a list of
topic starters on the table when they arrive. Everyone vote who is most trustworthy, who is prettiest, meanest...so on and so on and those starters can lead to
any convo.

I think the most wtf was Sugar/Sierra being presented as sweethearts when obviously they were total douches. And then Erinn being given all these random shots
and SPV for no reason, you could have flushed her out because whenever you did she was pretty entertaining. Also, the whole Exile Alliance build-up in
Tocantins... it was built up like crazy yet it was done at F9. How do you expect your audience to not be disappointed when you built it up more than either
tribe pre-merge?

jenny from cook islands had a lot of bitchy scenes that made it to the cbs website but not on air, she would have made a pretty good villian for the early days
of the game. Cassandra stratigzed and schemed (even when alex, mookie and edgardo got voted out they commented on this in interviews calling her shady,
conniving etc) yet it never made it on the show. Colby didnt deserve the edit he got. He always came off as arrogant to me especially in interviews. He would
bash jerry and talk about the kind of person she is etc, when hes just as bad.
natalie from fans versus favs could have been a season long villian if they gave her more bitchy confessionals in the begining instead of focusing on truckwaffle, who didnt even make it to merge!
