However, I would say that Ethan is at least respected for being a genuinely nice guy on and off Sucks.

Penner seems to have a restricted fanbase both here and with the average audience. Amanda is the only woman who is loved by the audience but hated here. And I can't think of any man who is liked here but hated by the audience. There's no such thing as a casual viewer "consensus", nor is there a consensus here at Sucks on who is popular. Yes, there is. There most certainly is. There are a couple of people like me who go against the current here, but otherwise, 90% of Sucks gravitates over the same kind of contestants, same with the viewers.

Although a lot of people here (myself included) have given him props for his strategic gameplay in PI, maybe you've mistaken that with popularity.
