Here's my question. Why is the person who is an uninsured motorist arguing for mandatory health insurance?

I will just quote him Sloansalad wrote: People not paying in is what drive up cost.... Again.. not to pick on.. Trixie Delight ~ "And we thank you for our increased premiums." She finshed that quote with a word she might apply to Sloan... (not that I would.) |

And no I don't agree that it's through no fault of their own. I didn't have coverage for years because I didn't want to pay for it, and it was ALL MY OWN fault. |

It doesn't have anything to do with health insurance (although youthful males are probably some of the least likely to need medical care as a whole, we don't have vaginas to take care of). Here at OT, you can't just say no without doing one of two things:Sloansalad wrote: 1. Explaining why they are wrong 2. It's all the damn government subsidies of medical care over the last 40 years that are causing the costs to rise. Just like college tuition. If the medical
community had to compete for dollars they might actually run health care like a business. Obama's claim that health care costs will take an ever larger
percentage of the GDP is only true if government keeps sending your tax dollars to medical providers. It cannot, by definition, consume the economy if market
forces remain to keep costs in check. Obama will surely worsen the situation.

I don't see where she said that. Please explain, also we're not making this about one person. If I say that abortions are ok, but abortions are murder,
and murder is wrong, where did I go wrong?

logical fallacy. one of your premises needs tweaking. (OMIGAW ---> am I turning into UC???) :: dons hairshirt and picks up the whip :: |

"You have to pay for the part where you might cause yourself problems." Is not true because part of cost of the health care system goes to paying for
those without health care. (Trixie Delight made that point when she called me a bad name.)

Look, I also have zero interest in purchasing the crap that makes little old lady hair turn blue.
Now if I bought a shitload of that stuff, chances are the regional price might go down, but much like health insurance I'd be spending extra money a month on something I don't want. |
