Toss in more Jaywalking and headlines, and I so don't care. But yeah, if Kanye's prescheduled, Leno just got a huuuuuge gift.

NBC taking the 10 p.m. slot away from potentially great dramas that could be in that slot and instead giving it to Leno annoys the hell out of me. I won't be tuning in to NBC after 9:59 p.m. on any night (except to occasionally watch Conan). They've cancelled too many shows I have enjoyed and continue to make shitty choices. NBC can suck it. Unfortunately, they still have a handful of my fave shows, so I cannot do an outright boycott. I Love The Office & Chuck and really like 30 Rock. I am really anticipating Community and think I am going to love it. Parks & Rec is pretty good, too. Heroes is hanging by a thread with me. I hope Leno bombs and more people get canned at NBC for making shitty programing choices.

When Seinfeld is on Letterman he usually does material; he's not an interesting interview and with Jay's interviewing "skills" it made it completely useless. The monologue was more of the same and I scanned all the way through everything else. The bright spot is he's not taking viewers away from Dave anymore so I couldn't care less if he stays on or not.

The last time I cared about a 10pm NBC drama was when ER was still good. So, like, 9 years ago? Oh, and this was slightly worse than the average Jay Tonight Show. Barf.

Posts: 12659 (09/14/09 11:00 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts	I ffw'd through Seinfeld, but thought it was OK -- agreeance that it was no different from the tonight show, except that it was jarring to have headlines AFTER the musical guest. The local affiliates have to be furious about that -- no lead in for the news. I liked his joke about the cash for clunkers and he made a billion dollars. But that was the only distinguishing moment. Kind of a cheap shot asking Kanye what his mother would think, but I guess the schmuck doesn't deserve any special treatment these days.

It was a legitimate question for Kanye on his behavior. It would be one thing if his mother died yesterday and it was fresh in his mind, but she died nearly 2 years ago. Kanye showed his true colors by having to take time to stir up crocodile @+%%@ for pity after the question about his mother. If he cared about her, he'd have been bawling as soon as the question was asked. The only shame is they didn't let Taylor show up and interrupt his speech and talk about how Asher Roth had the best video of all time and got robbed he won an award, only to jab him further and remind him he didn't win shit.
