Currently there are ONLY 10 states where gays can jointly adopt a child. Further, same sex couples are PROHIBITED from adopting in Florida, Utah, and Mississippi. In Michigan individuals that are "unmarried" may not adopt children. In Florida it is specifically forbidden for anyone who is Gay, Lesbian or Bi-Sexual to adopt a child. In 11/2008 the state of Arkansas passed legislation to ban unmarried persons in a relationship from adopting or fostering children.Wow. Pathetic. Pray someone challenges that bullshit to the courts because it's obviously a violation of human rights.
