BTW, Randy has posted the letter on his blog and within an hour, at least one person has written to Dr. Phil; so hopefully, this approach will work. if your main motivation is not to see her on your teevee, then find your remote control and change the channel. easy peasy. but that isn't your main motivation, is it? writing letter campaigns to teevee doctors and planning lawsuits and creating timelines and caring about "russel's children" is all fucking nuts.

It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye - or in this case, a life. Taylor needs to be exposed and humiliated for her lies just as James Frye was after Oprah endorsed his book, "A Million Little Pieces" and then found out it was totally fabricated.

For someone to take their own lives...it cannot be an easy decision. Unless someone is completely out of their mind on drugs or alcohol and not thinking rationally, can you imagine how distraught he must have been to take his own life? Do you not think he thought about his friends, family, and his children? No one can know what was going through that poor man's head--or anyone's head when they take their own lives. It's not a healthy mental state. You are probably right...he felt like a "fucking loser" and worse, and that's why he did it. Was it selfish? Probably. But I don't think he did it because he wanted your sympathy, or anyone else's.

All of us only have our own perspectives to draw from. But I grew up with parents who constantly threatened suicide in front of their kids, and frankly so many of their actions and what they exposed us to showed they cared little about our well-being. Yes, someone has to feel desperate to threaten and commit suicide. Does every parent care about and consider their children and family? Hell no. My parents may have been outlying, but I know first-hand that parents like that exist, and there is every reason to think that Russell was a selfish POS. I do believe that if you're a parent you need to put aside the worst of your own desperation, selfishness, dishonesty, or whatever else makes you a lousy parent and suck it up for 18 years. If you make a decision to be a parent, that is your life and responsibility.

If he felt that badly about himself it would make sense for him to think they would be better off with their mothers and perhaps with a replacement (step) father. On the outside, yes, it seems selfish and it seems as though that person doesn't care about those they leave behind. That's not true though. Real depression is horrid and its lack of caring about anything that is at the bottom of suicide. It's a despair that is almost unbelievable and it is not self induced. It's an actual illness and not a personal choice. Any person who commits suicide is ill at the time and is obviously incapable of rational thought. If you are thinking rationally, you do not kill yourself! Selfishness has no part in this. But because Russell is dead, he has no rights anymore. Taylor can say what she wants without repercussion and to gain sympathy. Her book was written in like 5 minutes? Oh hell no, she had that all written before his suicide IMO (or at least had the concept all down) and it was for the purpose of excusing herself for whatever hot water they were in. (again, IMO) It's Taylor I take to task, not Russell.
