It's simple, as you only need to post what you are told to in an update. With the exception of money used in transport (which requires math as shown below), all updates are copy and paste. When teams, get to a roadblock or detour, they will be told to do a certain task..

Money:
Money will remain the same. You use currency in the season to pay for transportation. Money carries over from round to round so you can save up for when it really counts. Money with the exception of certain legs, will be given to you when you arrive at the airport. If you don't know how to use money it looks like this:

Let's say you have $12 and you are given these options in an update:

*Taxi to the Space Needle* (-20)
*Take the subway to the Space Needle* (-15)
*Bus to the Space Needle* (-10)

Then you would post whichever option you want. As you cannot go bankrupt, your choice is limited to the bus. So, in your next post following this update, you will post:

*Bus to the Space Needle* (-10)

12 - 10 = 2

Money can be exchanged at any time. You MUST use XE.com to exchange your cash. Obviously, depending on which country you're in, that will be the currency you will use. Exchanging cash looks like this:

$1 -> 4054 Guarani

Keep in mind, you should always round UP when you have decimal places in your cash.

You will not be allowed to beg or receive money from anyone.

Money given at the start of the leg will be determined by the starting amount, quote bonus ($5), reward from the hotline ($5), and placing on the previous leg (amount will vary).

NELs:
There will at most be 2 NELs this season. There will be a speed bump penalty for teams.

Yields:
The penalty has been shortened to 10 minutes and there are 4 Yields in this season.

U-Turns:
4 U-Turns available.

Intersections:
There will be 2 Intersections. As usual, you must pair up with a different team each time.

Superlegs:
There may or may not be 1 condensed superleg this season.

Fair Play Rule:
If for some reason you were skipped ahead one update or you have clear evidence that some team was in the wrong update, and you do not call it before you check in, then the placing STAYS THE SAME. I will not deal with anymore arguments post-race about the accidents that occur. So, if you don't catch it until after you have checked in, then too bad.

Proxies:
Due to the huge amount of teams, proxies will NOT be allowed this season.

New Rules:

Check-In Times: Similar to previous seasons, your check-in times will matter on certain legs. Sometimes you will be told it is, other times it will be a surprise until the first team checks in. If someone was to use a Fast Forward on a leg where check-in times matter, and are 20 mins. or more ahead of the other teams, they will start out only 20 mins ahead of the next checked-in team. Vice versa, if someone were to fall or complete the leg several hours later, they will start out 20 mins. behind the previous team.

Hotline:


Replacing storyboards this season for character development is the Hotline. Now, the people you'll be trying to please will be the readers and fans of the race. Following each leg, the audience (including racers themselves) will get get a chance to place a vote for a certain number of teams who developed the best in that episode. Criteria for "developed the best" is solely up to the individual. Each team will receive a number in an updated hotline board following each leg. Voting opens when the new board is posted and ends when explicitly stated in the post. To vote, simply PM me (Avant Tai), state in title "Hotline" and in the message, the numbers followed by the actual team names. The top vote getters will receive a $5 bonus for the next leg. If this system devolves into an "American Idol"-like situation where I get my inbox FILLED with pms from users who have never read the leg and are simply sending the PM because a team member asked them to, I will terminate the hotline. So, racers, readers, and lurkers are welcome to vote. Just don't insanely overdo it.
