I downloaded the album this morning... and I have to say that I'm not very impressed. It's even poppier than the first and sounds like a lot of
fluff. I don't hear any stand out tracks, but there are a couple that I *like*. So far No Surprise is one of the best - that should say it all right
there.

Maybe I just gave myself false hope when I read that the band said this album would be heavier than the previous, but it doesn't seem all that different
than the debut in that regard to me.
I haven't heard any "must play on repeat 100 times a day" songs, but I do like (in no particular order): You Don't Belong Everytime You Turn Around Ghost of Me Life After You With an honorable mention to "Open Up Your Eyes". All the others (No Surprise excepted) are just completely bleh and meh.

"No Surprise" is a shit song so if that's the best obviously this album sucks.
I hope it flops so Daughtry gets a blow to his big fat ego. |

Oh wow...I just checked out the Today Show.
Chris sounded like absolute shit. I hope it was like the outdoor audio or something, but I really don't think it was. Damn that hurt. |

I am disappointed to hear about egoheads CD sucking pretty bad. I know most people hate him, but I always liked him, big fat egghead and his big fat fucking ego and all. I will listen to the CD clips and see if I feel like getting it, but it sounds like it's not happening. |

Decent number for such a mediocre first single. I think certain posters here have astronomical expectations that are not realistic in this age of the industry
and economic climate. In terms of other Idols, I'm sure Jordin Sparks and Carrie Underwood will see a decreased amount in their first weeks as well (less
so Carrie, though, since she is releasing before the holidays).
